Main Premise of the Story
The series is built around a massive smuggling racket involving expensive watches, gold, and bags coming into India from abroad. To destroy this racket, a special honest team of customs officers is formed, led by Emraan Hashmi. The thrilling operation of this team is told across the seven episodes of the series.
Positive Aspects of the Series
- Neeraj Pandey's Style: Those who are fans of 'Special 26' or 'Baby' will find here the same taut excitement and flawless execution that is characteristic of Neeraj Pandey.
- Emraan Hashmi's New Version: According to Shubham, this is Emraan Hashmi's '2.0 version'. His heroic entry and intense acting are simply outstanding.
- Character Establishment: Not just the hero, but every member of the team has been given proper importance. In the early episodes, each character's separate backstory and working style has been presented very beautifully.
- Details of Smuggling: How smugglers hide items and their clever intellectual planning are shown in great detail in the series, which will amaze the audience.
- Attractive Music (BGM): The slightly 'peppy' or fun background music in the middle of serious scenes plays a big role in breaking the monotony of the series.
- Visual Presentation: Foreign locations, precise camera movements, and the use of animation to show the villain's backstory were particular.
Negative Aspects of the Series
- Lack of Emotion: Because the series is very technical and planning-oriented, the human emotions or emotional bonding between the characters feel somewhat lacking.
- Weak Villain Character: Even though a powerful actor like Sharad Kelkar was cast, his character has not been written very strongly. Especially the lack of direct confrontation between the hero and the villain may disappoint viewers.
- Rushed Ending: The first six episodes progressed very beautifully, but in the last half-hour of the final episode everything is wrapped up very quickly. If the series had been one or two episodes longer, the story could have been even better.
Final Verdict
Despite some minor flaws, due to its technical brilliance, Neeraj Pandey's direction, and excellent acting, 'Tuskeri' is a thoroughly enjoyable series. Especially for those who love thriller and smuggling-genre stories, this is a must-watch.
