How is artificial intelligence influencing human cognition and the broader world? We would appreciate your insights on this matter.
Artificial Intelligence (Ai) is not just changing what we do, it is changing how we think. When we talk of human cognition, Ai influences the how which is the process humans solve problems and even remember things. Instead of humans to think through deeply, they simply rely on Ai for a quick answer, this is what we call “cognitive offloading”.... A process where mental efforts of humans are shifted to machines.
With the look of things, Ai may create laziness in understanding because people now feel knowledgeable because Ai now feeds them with the polished answers. In the same vain, Ai can be used properly to enhance cognition by helping students understand complex topics.
Look further, Ai is doing a whole lot of work for humans like Ai dictating disease, fraud and personalize learning. A lot is going on with Ai than we know it. It is obviously seen as the power force that shapes things.
Please provide a comprehensive analysis of the advantages and disadvantages associated with Artificial Intelligence.
Advantages
- Efficiency
Ai is a machine and we know that machines are not human and so it offers a clear performance of the same task quickly and accurately. It can function 24/7 without breakdown.
- Accuracy
Unlike human, Ai do not get tired or distracted. It gets the facts right and focus on delivering accurately. It can handle millions of tasks at a go.
Disadvantages
- Job displacement
Machines have taken over the jobs from human and has left the humans jobless because wait, someone who doesn't need to stree can quietly use Ai to achieve all difficult task to save stress. Automatically, there is no need to employ human, you just employ Ai.
- Lack of creativity
Ai can only operate with it's programmed analysis and data, unlike human, it cannot feel, think or even create which limits it's ability to produce original ideas.
People are relying more on artificial intelligence (AI) instead of using their own intelligence. What do you think about this?
Well clearly, this is happening. Many people now rely on Ai for answers and feels lazy to engage in deep thinking. They gradually accept the answers without questioning them, which makes Ai the power force in giving accurate answers.
Ai should be a tool that enhance human intelligence and not replace it. However, the issue is not Ai, but how people use it. I think the abuse of it has made it more relying.
Although research shows that a large percentage of people rely on Ai while very few use it as a tool to challenge thinking.

I think that is not use but misuse.. For instance, atomic power is good for humanity but you can use it for making the weapons of mass destruction. So we should take the positive points and leave the negativity. You have some good points in your post.
