1st EEE Alumni Reunion (Part-1)...
Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
How are you all? I hope you are all well. Alhamdulillah I am also well. I am back with another new post. Today I will try to talk about the Alumni Reunion program of my university's EEE department. Let's start-
Most of us spent our childhood and teenage life hanging out with friends, playing sports and studying. But as we grow older, friendships get lost, and distance is created. Everyone gets busy with their own lives. Some get lost in various activities including family, job, business. And we don't see those days of college or university life again. We don't see that friend, with whom we didn't feel good if we didn't meet, we wouldn't sit in class together. Everything seems to be lost in the abyss of time. What if these moments could be found again, all the friends could hang out and have fun again? And if it is on the campus of our beloved university, where we sowed the seeds of our dreams. Of course, we all want to see this day. But due to lack of time, we do not all get together.
However, nowadays, by organizing various events, we can get back those moments, meet friends again. Those whom we have not met for many years. Duet is a place of dreams and emotions for polytechnic students. Only Duet admission warriors know how much hardships one has to accept with a smile to study here. And the most demanding or expensive department in the current engineering university is the Department of Electronic and Electronic Engineering. I am currently studying in Duet. So far, 39 batches are running in Duet. In order to bring all the students of these 39 batches together, our EEE department decided to organize an ELNA reunion. As a result, a bridge will be built with everyone.
For this purpose, last November, the sirs held a meeting with all our current students, where all the issues were explained. Then the online registration started. To meet the people who have to wait for hours, have to be called sir, but in this program, we will see them in person, talk to them, and hear their success experiences. After coming out of the duet, everyone is at a very high level, we will meet them all, talk to them, and the juniors will be able to exchange views with the seniors. So that it will be useful in their future lives. For this purpose, our department organized this reunion program.
First, a WhatsApp group was opened and all the former and current students from the 1st to 39th batches were added there through various means. Then a link was created for registration. Slowly, a page was opened on Facebook and promoted. So that everyone can know about the issue and participate in this program. Now, slowly, the sirs started all the activities of the program with our fourth-year brothers. The date of the program was fixed for January 2, 2026. All the preparations were made in about 2 months. After opening the Facebook page and creating a group, the reunion logo was first designed. The elder brothers designed many logos and the sirs selected one from there.
A specific amount of money was set aside for free registration for us. 1000 taka for students, 3000 taka for alumni and 2000 taka for those in post-graduation. Also, there was a separate free registration for guest drivers or children. Although a small number of applications were made in the beginning, a lot of students applied towards the end. About 2000 plus registered and there were also guests, drivers, children and many others. In other words, it was an event costing about 70 to 80 lakh taka. The registration deadline was until November 24, although later it was extended a little more. This is how the application process ended.
Now the main formal activities of the event began, which I will try to talk about in the next episode, God willing. That's all for today. ................
