Eid is one of the happiest days for Muslims. On this day, both rich and poor try to wear good clothes, eat well and spend some beautiful moments with their loved ones. Every year, we have two Eids, one is Eid-ul-Fitr, which we also call Eid of Ramadan, and the other is Eid-ul-Adha. I think it is basically the Eid of sacrifice and Hajj. The holy Hajj is celebrated in the month of Eid-ul-Adha. Eid-ul-Adha is celebrated in our country on the second day of Hajj. On this day, after completing the Eid prayers, everyone sacrifices an animal in the hope of gaining the pleasure of Allah Almighty. In this, even the poor and helpless people can enjoy meat with their families on Eid day. In fact, it is not the case that Allah Almighty accepts it only if you buy an animal with a lot of money and sacrifice it. Allah Almighty does not see the animal of sacrifice, He sees the intention of the heart. The intention of which is only to attain closeness to Allah Almighty, Allah Almighty accepts that. But now some people in the society have considered Qurbani as if it is given only for eating meat. As Muslims, this is a matter of shame for us.

Yesterday, Thursday, May 28, 2026, was the day of Eid-ul-Azha for our Muslims. That is, the day of Eid. I returned home from Dhaka on the 20th to share this happy moment of Eid with my family. On the morning of Eid, I woke up a little late, so I could not offer the Fajr prayer with the congregation, so I offered the Fajr prayer in my room and slept for some time again. Because, the time for Eid prayer in our area is given at 8 am. After some time, I got up, took a bath, my elder brother and father went to the Eidgah Maidan to offer the Eid prayer. After finishing the Eid prayer, I exchanged greetings with others and left for home with some of my friends. Then I took some group pictures on my friends' phones. Then I went towards my house. When I got home, I first gave Eid salami (Eid bonus) to my younger sister, my elder brother's daughter. She was waiting for me on the street to receive Eid salami from me.

After giving salami, I first opened my new Eid Punjabi because I couldn't stay in the heat. Since we didn't have a sacrifice, I went to my room to eat my own food, leaving aside the tension of animal sacrifice. Insha Allah, if Allah Almighty grants us success, we will also offer a sacrifice in the future. Due to my migraine problem, I eat less semai or sweet foods, whether on Eid or any other day. As a result, I ate rice instead of semai. My sister was frying eggs, frying brinjal chops, and cooking fish for me. After eating, I lay down on the bed for a while. Actually, I used to spend most of the Eid days sleeping. I would sleep after prayers. However, this time will be a little different. After lying in bed for some time, I got up and got ready to go to my younger aunt's house. My younger aunt has no children, so every Eid day I go to my younger aunt's house even if I don't go anywhere. I got ready and left around 11 am to go to my aunt's house. One big problem on Eid day is that the fare is so high that I can't say anything. The fare from our house to Kumarkhali is 20 taka, but on Eid day I had to pay 30 taka and instead of 10 taka to my aunt's house, I had to pay 20 taka instead of 10 taka.

After talking and eating for a few hours at my aunt's house, I left in the afternoon to go to my in-laws' house. My wife is there. I did some shopping at the market and went to my in-laws' house. For the first time in my life, going to my in-laws' house on Eid day was a little different. Because I got married two months ago. Anyway, that's not the point. When I went to my in-laws' house, my wife was proud of me, so I broke it. Then I put some henna on her hand. So that the love between us would increase. Then I spent the rest of the day with her. I spent the Eid day here. I shared it with you in brief. May everyone be well and healthy. I will see you again with a new post of mine.
