The taste of chitai pitha with kachur shak is incomparable.
Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
How are you all? I hope you are all well. Alhamdulillah, I am also well. I am back with another new post of mine. Today, I will talk to you about a popular winter dish. Let's start-
Winter means the excitement of eating all kinds of seasonal pithapuli. Every house has the ripe rice of Hemanta, rice is made from that new rice, rice powder, which is used to make various types of seasonal pithapuli. Which also have different names. However, many people are not lucky enough to eat them. Especially those who live in the city, most of the time they do not make it. As a result, they cannot even taste it. However, people from the village go here and eat all kinds of seasonal pithapuli in the winter. However, eating them is as delicious as it is expensive. In our house, various types of pithapuli are also organized every winter. Since I live in the city most of the time, my mother makes these most of the time at home.
This time, my semester mid-break has been given since the 19th. That's why I'm coming home. Ever since I came, my mother has been asking me if I can eat pitha and make balls. Actually, I don't feel like eating pitha that much, eating sweets increases my migraine pain, so I eat very little even when I do. Yesterday evening, I saw my mother in the kitchen making pitha. I asked her what she would make, she said milk chitai. It is known by different names in different places. In our part of the country, it is called chitai or milk chitai. It is basically made with new rice flour. The powder is mixed well with water, then it is made into a clay mold, called chitai pitha. Nowadays, it is also seen being made and sold in the streets of the city. However, the method of making them is different. However, eating them is also very fun. I had shared it with you in a post earlier.
Chitai pithas are made, soaked in a kind of juice made from milk, jaggery, overnight, and then eaten in the morning. Its taste is amazing, but I can't stop eating after eating a few. Even eating a winter pitha gives me peace of mind. But most of the time, I like to eat chitai with green leafy vegetables. That's why after making chitai pitha last night, my mother made green leafy vegetables again this morning. Today, I ate chitai pitha with that green leafy vegetables at noon. In fact, those who haven't eaten it won't understand its taste. If you also want, you can make chitai like this at home and try it with green leafy vegetables, I hope you like it.
While eating, I felt like sharing this village food with you too. That's why I shared it with you today. I hope you all liked it. Everyone stay well and healthy. See you again with my new post.
