Leaving the school premises after lectures
I go to school Monday-Friday every and there are days my last lecture ends 6pm, 2pm and 4pm. The one ending 6pm is the most stressful day of week, because after that last lecture I always arrive home when the day is already dark. When I resumed school this week my last lecture for that first day this year ended 2pm although I didn't go home immediately.
I had something important to settle before leaving the school premises. In general, I mostly leave the school premises alone, I don't have much time to be waiting to walk to the main gate with someone. I walked straight to the gate alone even as the distance is far I don't mind as I'm already used to it.
Most students do enter the school shuttle to the main gate and don't think I have done that once. I got the opportunity to take few pictures this week and there were some places I forgot to snap but I know I will be opportuned to snap them another day.
The road inside the school is extremely smooth and good, I often see flashy cars driving with speed and I try my best to be far from those cars each time I'm walking by the side and they are getting close to where I am. The main gate of the school is expectedly big and when you face the gate from inside the school compound you will notice that GOODBYE was written at the middle of the two gates.
The first time I saw this was last year September when I came to the school to write the exam that will give me an opportunity to get admission in the school. As I was about to leave the school premises after the exam I saw it and I was amazed even if is a normal thing. I was more amazed because I didn't expect to see anything like that there, is really something polite.
Once I finally leave the school premises I walk straight to the main junction so that I can cross and board a bus to my neighborhood. Before getting to the junction I often see a lot of people with their various businesses. I do see numerous shops and some people selling things like bags, shoes, phone accessories, snacks and others by the road side. I see these people each time I pass that road to the junction. Numerous people are working hard everyday in Nigeria to survive and I pray God bless them. I will stop here for now.

Thank you so much
Nice post, I really enjoyed reading this. As a fellow student in a polytechnic, I can truly relate to the stress of long lectures and leaving school late. Walking alone after lectures, especially when it’s already getting dark, is something many of us are used to. Your description of the school environment and the “GOODBYE” gate was interesting and meaningful. School life is not easy at all, but we keep pushing.
Thanks for sharing this real student experience, and I wish you success in your studies. 💪📚
Please what's the name of the school?
Congratulations!
