Cashew Nuts (Kaju)
Cashew nut is well known dry fruit. Mostly people call it kaju. Almost everyone like it because it very tasty and soft to eat. Many people eat kaju in daily life but some people do not know where it comes from. How to eat it properly and what benefits it gives to our body. In my view, cashew nut is not only dry fruit, it is also a source of energy and health.

Cashew nut is mostly found in Hot and coastal areas. This grow on cashew tree and this tree like hot weather. Cashew trees are commonly found in countries like India, Brazil, Sri Lanka and some African countries. In Pakistan, cashew is not grown a lot. So mostly we import it from other countries. Cashew grows inside hard shell and it needs proper processing before eating. Raw cashew cannot be eaten directly from tree because it can be harmful. After cleaning and roasting, it becomes safe and tasteful.
Now I highlight benefits of cashew nut. Cashew nut is enrich with healthy fats proteins, vitamins and minerals. This give energy to our body. This also help us feel active. When students eat cashew nut, it helps them in studies because it supports brain health. I have seen many elders saying that dry fruits make brain strong and I think they are right.

Cashew nut is very good for heart health. It contain good fats that help to control bad cholesterol in body. When cholesterol is balanced, heart problems reduced. People who eat cashew in limited amount can keep their heart healthy. But too much of anything is not good so balance is important. Another important benefit of cashew nut is for bones and teeth. Cashew contain minerals like magnesium and phosphorus. These minerals help us in make bones strong. For growing children and old people, cashew nut is very helpful. My mother always says that strong bones mean strong life and cashew helps in that.

Cashew nut is also best for skin and hair. This has antioxidants and copper. It help skin look fresh and glowing. People who eat cashew regularly notice better skin. It also helps hair growth and reduces hair fall. In today life, many people face hair problems, so adding some cashew in diet can help little. Cashew nut also helps in weight management which sounds strange because it has fats. But these are healthy fats. When eaten in small quantity, cashew makes us feel full. So we do not eat junk food again and again. This way, it helps control weight. Many students like chips and fast food but replacing them with cashew is a better choice.

Now I share how cashew nut should be eaten. Cashew can be eaten in different ways. The most easy way is eat roasted cashew like snack. We can eat 4 to 6 cashews daily. It is enough. Cashew can also be added to milk, desserts, kheer, halwa and sweets. Some people soak cashew in water at night and eat in morning. This is also a good way because soaked cashew becomes easy to digest. Cashew should not be eaten in very large amount. Too much cashew can cause weight gain or stomach problem. People with allergy should be careful. Everything good becomes bad when we cross limit so simple rule is moderation.

Finally I love to write cashew nut is a very useful dry fruit. It is found in warm countries, processed carefully and eaten in different ways. This give energy, good for heart, brain, bones, skin and overall health.
