Beyond the Noise: Learning the Art of Mindful Solitude
The fast pace of our today's life doesn't let anyone take rest. Whether its notifications coming on your phone or social media update, we are always trying to get some time but there comes one thing that makes us uneasy if everything goes silent around us.
I used to think that if you are alone, you’re definitely lonely too. But now I am sure that these are two separate terms. Feeling lonely happens due to a lack of connection whereas solitude is about getting comfortable with your inner self and your thoughts. Solitude allows you to enjoy the peace of hearing only your original thoughts instead of others’ views.
How do you find this mental solitude? You don’t need to move to the mountain tops nor cut off from the internet forever. Even if you spend 10-15mins daily being silent will make huge differences. Try doing nothing but sit back, reflect upon your breathe, emotion & what’s happening on your journey!
This period of stillness helps me truly think about all of my options and choices - including those I'm making now. Self reflection is incredibly powerful and helps me make decisions that are meaningful to me instead of ones passed down to me because that’s just how things were done around me.
I love taking time to reflect but do you?

This is such a beautiful and deeply reflective post! You explained the distinction between solitude and loneliness so thoughtfully — solitude really is about finding peace within ourselves rather than feeling isolated.
LOVE YOUR REALISTIC APPROACH TO THIS!
I totally agree with you that sitting in silence every single day of our lives even if only 10-15 mins can have a powerful impact.
We are able to make some really intentional choices in life when we take time out to reflect on ourselves instead of fallint into what ever it is everyone around us is doing.
Thanks for sharing such an inspiring post. Love all the content from YOU!
On my best days, going out for a quick morning walk while being completely off-the-grid with no headphones/digital devices is the #1 way I reset myself if things get crazy. What works for you?
You made some very good comments. We all should leave our headphones when going out on a morning walk (that’s what I do). Also, every morning, I have my own coffee, but with no touch to screens at least during the first thirty minutes. You are right ! A great post as usual. Many thanks for taking time to share this. Have an excellent week !
