Chandrayaan 2: India's another major achievement in space, Chandrayaan - 2 reached the moon's orbit.
Chandrayaan-2 captured the first picture of the moon, which has been shared by people by space agency ISRO today.
It took the first photo of the moon from 2,650 km distance from moon surface, and send it back to the Earth in ISRO control Room. We are so lucky that we are viewing Moons picture from too close to her.

Chandrayaan-2 captured the first picture of the moon, which has been shared by people by space agency ISRO today. Posting the photo of the moon, ISRO said, it was captured yesterday at an altitude of about 2,650 km from the lunar surface. The picture shows two important places on the moon, Apollo Crater and Mayer Orientale. At present, ISRO Chairman K. Sivan said on Thursday that the 'soft landing' on the lunar surface of the lander 'Vikram', which went with 'Chandrayaan-2' currently circling in the moon's orbit, will be made in the early hours of September.

Sivan told reporters at the airport here that scientists from the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in Bengaluru would be involved in the process. This process is expected to be completed by 7.55 am on September 7. He said, "It is expected to do a soft landing on the surface of the moon Surface at around 1.40 AM and by 1.55 AM. This is an important mission globally. Everyone has kept an eye on it with great curiosity. ''

Regarding the complexity of this phase of the mission, Sivan said that the speed of the spacecraft would need to be brought down to zero. Chandrayaan-2 successfully entered the moon's orbit on 20 August. On Wednesday, the process of advancing it to the moon's orbit was carried out for the second time. Three more such processes will be carried out to bring the vehicle into the final orbit passing above the lunar poles at a distance of about 100 km from the lunar surface.

ISRO said that after this on September 2, the lander will break away from the orbiter and will enter an orbit of 100 km X30 km around the moon. It will then go through a series of processes such as slow motion and stagnation to make a 'soft landing' in the South Pole region of the moon. Sivan was asked whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be present with ISRO scientists on September 7 during the 'soft landing' of the 'Vikram' lander on the lunar surface.

The ISRO chairman said that the Prime Minister has been invited to be a partner of the historical moment concerned.

Asked if there is any gender discrimination in ISRO, Sivan said there is no such discrimination and talented women are always given better roles in ISRO.

He said, "There is no gender discrimination in ISRO. Two women got an opportunity during the Chandrayaan-2 mission. Similarly, women will get opportunities to play a leading role in (ISRO's) future projects. ”At the launch of Chandrayaan-2 on July 22, two women scientists - Ritu Karidhal and M Vanita - were highly praised as they were both The mission and project director are respectively.
