Menurut data penelitian di Andaman, penyu belimbing di Samudera Hindia, diperkirakan 1.000 betina, dengan pantai peneluran terpusat dan terbesar di Kepulauan Andaman. Sedikit sekali informasi menyebar hingga perairan barat Sumatera dan Jawa.
Untuk habitat peneluran penyu belimbing di Indonesia yang tercatat terdistribusi di 19 pantai peneluran seperti Aceh, Sumatera Utara, Jawa Timur, dan Papua Barat.
Pantai peneluran penyu belimbing Samudera Pasifik, terpusat dan kategori besar di Indonesia, ada di Papua. Sedang pantai peneluran penyu belimbing Samudera Hindia tercatat di Siemelue, Aceh Besar, Aceh Jaya, Aceh Singkil, Tapanuli Selatan, Mentawai, Bengkulu dan Banyuwangi dengan kategori kecil (sedikit)
