A psychologist from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) Psychology Center stated that the four TNI members accused of the acid attack on KontraS activist Andrie Yunus are still considered psychologically fit to carry out their duties as soldiers. This assessment was delivered during a trial at the II-08 Jakarta Military Court, based on the results of a psychological examination conducted shortly after the incident.

In his statement, the psychologist explained that a person's psychological condition can change over time, especially if the examination is conducted when emotions are still unstable after the incident. Although a level of aggression was found in the defendants, this was said to not be solely negative because it is part of the basic character of soldiers that needs to be properly controlled. Therefore, based on the existing parameters, the four defendants are still considered to meet the criteria to continue serving in the TNI environment.
