T.H.E.Y. Believe That With Robots, They Can Discard Us Plebs
T.H.E.Y., the "elite", dream of a time when they will be completely in control, and do not have to rely on normal people anymore. T.H.E.Y. believe if they can develop all robot factories, then they can do away with the annoying peasants.
It is similar to how T.H.E.Y. think that creating CBDCs will allow them to get rid of all the small and medium sized banks. Sharing in the money creation is stealing from their own coffers. T.H.E.Y. do not want to share. T.H.E.Y. do not want to be constrained by having to rely on people. Robotics seems to be the perfect thing, sent by lucifer to free them.
So, with AI and robotics on the verge of being an actual thing, many people are discussing what happens to our current economic system and good production, when the "elite" own all the factories, all the currency, and the govern-cements. Indeed that is a dark future to contemplate.
However, what will happen is quite different than T.H.E.Y. can imagine

The current state, and the plan
Right now, large corporations control (either through making things so cheap, that no one can compete, or keeping others out through regulation) manufacturing.
T.H.E.Y. created corporations so that they could externalize costs (and hide who is actually in control).
Another important thing, to Them, is that once it is a corporation, T.H.E.Y. can buy parts of it. Enough to control it. And when you control the printing presses, you get control of what others built, for free. T.H.E.Y. have corporations that specifically hold controlling shares of other corporations. Then they have two layers you have to pierce through before you can figure out who T.H.E.Y. are.
So, T.H.E.Y. control what gets manufactured, and who can buy what. It is like a "Company Store", but the whole world is involved. T.H.E.Y. pretend to pay you (with money they printed) and then you give them your labor, and get a kupie doll for playing.)
It is almost impossible to go around them. Right now, you would have to buy hand made things from actual people.

The biggest problem in manufacturing is people
So, T.H.E.Y. created HR, Human Resources (because you are not a person, just a resource) to manage all the people. But that is still too much of a pain.
Robots don't take sick days, instead they break down, but they are repairable and you can compute how often they break down. They never say, on a random day, that they have to go get their baby from the school principal.
T.H.E.Y. would love to replace all the people with robots.
And, what robots do best is the boring, repetitious jobs. Sooo, isn't that good? That we freed up a person to do something else? The problem is, people believe that they should do an honest day's work, for an honest day's pay. (These people still think that the pay is honest.)
(The large corporations get the pay-roll from the printing presses, and give it to the workers, who buy the products that they just made. Of course, there is a little skim there. So the workers are losing a little every day they work.)
Now, the plan is to give everyone an allowance, (so they stop complaining about not having a job) and have the robots do the jobs. This works right in with the CBDCs that the banksters want so that T.H.E.Y. can control the money better.
And, there you go, futuristic dystopia!

T.H.E.Y. lose control
This isn't about losing money. T.H.E.Y. have more money than they can ever spend, and currently, while people still accept fiat currency they can just print more.
However, this is about control. T.H.E.Y. want complete control. This, T.H.E.Y. think, will keep them safe. Because, in the past, the peasants picked up their pitchforks and torches and assaulted their castles whenever the "king" got to uppity and taxed too hard. T.H.E.Y. remember this, and so try to stay out of the spotlight. T.H.E.Y. get other people to be the patsy. T.H.E.Y. do everything to get people pointed in the wrong direction.
We blame inflation on greed, not on the banksters. We blame war on "bad guys", not on the banksters. We blame the break down of social order on social media, not on the banksters…
And T.H.E.Y. think that making all robot manufacturing plants will get them what they want. However, T.H.E.Y. do not know what humans want. T.H.E.Y. get it completely wrong.
As soon as robots become ubiquitous, people are going to start manufacturing things themselves. Because they enjoy building things. And this breaks their control.
AND, people are upset at the corporations for externalizing their costs, their pollution, their HR, their lack of listening to the people who are upset with their service.
Suddenly we will find ourselves in a world where the corporations die, and people make things in their garages.

The elite are trying to build their utopia. T.H.E.Y. are allowed to do what every they want, including Adult-Child Love, and people are controlled so that they will never rise up. Basically, it is them in charge, forever.
But, T.H.E.Y. do not realize that the control structures are breaking down. It is the energy (area of space) that we have moved into. All the Bigs fall over, and turn to dust.
So, T.H.E.Y. intend to build robot run factories, and what will happen is that humans will build what they actually want, in their garages, getting robots to do the mundane parts.
CBDCs are swept out of the way by real money. And later to something like Computer Aided Barter (even realer money)
In the end, T.H.E.Y. cause the cascade that destroys their control.
And, we end up with something like free market capitalism. Without the crony part, and without the corporations.
