One of the big problems with GMOs is that mostly they are modified to accept roundup which is then sprayed liberally, so all the land and water and the foodstuffs themselves are contaminated with roundup. Roundup farming or "no till farming" is very productive AKA profitable and helps reduce soil erosion considerably. Roundup is a possible AKA probable carcinogen.
