Nuclear threat from Korea and its allies to the US
US President Donald Trump arrives at Andrews Air Base in Maryland on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, after his summit meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Singapore.
President Donald Trump tweeted on Wednesday that "There is no longer a nuclear threat from North Korea" on his return to the United States after his historic summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Singapore.
Trump and Kim signed an agreement to work on the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, but the pact seems weaker than those previously achieved, which failed. Independent experts estimate that North Korea has enough fissile material to produce between 20 and 60 bombs, and that it tested missiles that could carry a nuclear weapon to the US mainland.
The president faces questions about whether he conceded too much in exchange for too little when he gave new legitimacy to Kim's government and agreed, at the request of Pyongyang, to finish the military exercises with Seoul, which the allies had considered crucial for security. Asian
On the other hand, US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, arrived at the Osan air base in southern Seoul on Wednesday to meet with Washington's allies after the summit.

Pompeo will meet with South Korean President Moon Jae-in on Thursday morning to discuss the Trump-Kim summit. Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono also travels to Seoul where he will meet with Pompeo and his South Korean counterpart. Later Pompeo, plans to travel to Beijing to inform the Chinese government about the talks between Trump and Kim.
President Donald Trump told the Voice of America contributor Greta Van Susteren that the issue of human rights was also raised at the meeting with the North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un.
In Pyongyang, the North Korean autocrat, Kim Jong Un, woke up on Wednesday with the enthusiastic affirmations of the state media of a victorious meeting with the US president, photos in which he appears standing with Trump on the world stage They filled the newspapers.
