I don't get why you dog Nikki Haley's comments as "a level of mendacity and lack of self-awareness I’ve only seen in Hillary Clinton".
She said "they are doing this everywhere" (did not exclude the U.S.) and it was 'Obama & the Left's' agenda to interfere with Israel, Syria & Libya, not Nikki Haley's or Trump's. And yes, Russia 'and' the U.S. collaborated through Hillary Clinton/Obama. So I think you're showing some bias blasting her for something she said that was totally factual and accurate calling it "a blow to U.S. exceptionalism and the neocon empire." That's the whole point!
My understanding is that the Trump administration 'is' the blow to the global elite empire that has been turning the U.S. (with the help of the U.S. establishment) 'into' that Neocon Empire. The gear is in REVERSE in case you haven't noticed yet. Trump & Nikki Haley are not part of that anti-American neocon organization...
Trump isn't. Haley is. But, Trump has rolled over on the entire Neocon agenda in the last 3 months if you haven't noticed.
Haley is going around the U.N. blasting Iran for 'sponsoring terrorism' when our people are on the ground shielding ISIS and the Iranians are instrumental in eliminating them
This type of rhetoric is straight out of the Israeli/Neocon lexicon. There's no sense of irony in that? Haley is an opportunistic swamp creature. "They're doing it everywhere" is not a construction that includes the U.S. when said by a U.S. official.
That's a level of mendacity that is ridiculous. She is the ambassador to the U.N. not running for the lower house in South Carolina. If she was serious about cleaning up the electioneering around the world she would distance herself from that kind of rhetoric.

Until the neocons are taken down (and it starts with Hillary) there's little Trump can do at this point. Foreign Policy will change after the mid-terms if it changes at all.
