Inktober 2017 Days 1-3 31Yokais
I decided to participate in this year's Inktober! The rules of Inktober is that you draw every single day during the month of October using ink. It's okay to have pencil underneath the drawing. Check out the official site to learn more.
I have already posted my first three artworks on Twitter and Instagram, but I completely forgot about my Steemit account as well. I'll be trying to post here for the rest of Inktober as well.
Day 1- Yurei, I had a panic attack while drawing this because I thought it was so ugly and people would bully me if I post it online. I have an anxiety disorder and extremely self-critical. I based her on the shrine maiden ghost in Persona 4 Golden.
Day 2 - Oni, the reference I used for this one is actually from the video "school time shipping" from Avatar the Last Airbender. It's the chibi version of the blue spirit that wears an Oni mask.
Day 3 Kuchisaki-ona, also known as slit-mouthed woman. She is based on a Japanese urban legend about a woman who asks people on the street if she's pretty. Answer incorrectly and she'll kill you.
I still really need to work on how clothing and fabric work on the body.
The prompt that I used for the first 3 days was created by Cristardust . The theme is Yokai, or Japanese supernatural entities or creatures. For day four I'm going to do another prompt because I'm not too interested in tanuki.
I love the style! Your inktober is looking great so far.
Thank you! I'm still developing my style and learning, but inktober is great practice for me.
