RE: Does insanity lead to creativity?

in #insane6 years ago

The relationship between "insane" or manic and the creative and inspired has long been recognised. In the Middle East, even in biblical times, the "mad" were referred to as being "touched by God".

The following quotes from various epochs will attest to that.

“No great mind has ever existed without a touch of madness.”
― Aristotle

"Oh! how near are genius and madness! Men imprison them and chain them, or raise statues to them."

  • Denis Diderot

"The difference between insanity and genius is measured only by success and failure."

  • Masashi Kishimoto

i agree with the third quote
"The difference between insanity and genius is measured only by success and failure."
because thats what we are actually living

Its all about how we choose to live with it. A good friend of mine was diagnosed as obsessive compulsive in his late teens. He had ongoing issues with substance abuse. He then started channelling that same nature into his art website and publishing house. The results that he achieved with this were amazing. That same tendency was still there, but instead of being applied to destructive activities it was applied to productive.

Positive energy, focus on productivity taking advantage of ur weirdness if i may say. Well i think even the surrounding environment have impact on creativity, if u r intrested i usually post ideas that need discussions and im so glad that there is someone who is willing to express his ideas and make of steemit a better community. Thank you so much for the answers and comments

Stick with it. You'll find your community here that will engage with you. It takes time.

Thank you though
