Spiritual truth: A person will be praised based on his insight, but whoever has a twisted mind will be despised. Proverbs 12:8

The sapiential books, such as the Book of Proverbs, Wisdom, and Ben Sira, are sacred texts deeply related to the science of ethics, that is, to the study of good and evil, wisdom and folly, sanity and madness. These books of the Bible not only offer profound spiritual teachings to reflect upon, but also practical advice for daily life.
The Bible reader who wishes to achieve happiness and well-being, ultimately the fullness of spiritual goods, should not overlook the profound thoughts that the wise men have left in their books for sensible men. He who seeks wisdom through its valuable advice for daily life seeks the most valuable thing that can exist.
Many may claim that God does not exist, or ask who spoke with God, but if there is one spiritual truth that is absolutely certain, it is that wisdom exists among immaterial objects as explained by the science of metaphysics, and the power that comes from its knowledge cannot be denied, because with wisdom comes the gift of the sacred listening and the gift of contemplative life (eternal life).
And the Book of Proverbs has a valuable quote of practical wisdom on this whole matter to reflect upon: "A person will be praised based on his insight, but whoever has a twisted mind will be despised" Proverbs 12:8.
With this phrase, the Book of Proverbs refers to the opposition between the wise who have insight and wisdom, and the fools who have twisted minds. King Solomon had understanding and wisdom in all his decisions and forged a powerful kingdom that had no equal while he lived, and the people of Israel recognized that he had divine guidance to act, and that is why Israel praised their king. But there were also kings in Judah and Israel who did not have the wisdom of Solomon, and they acted like complete fools, and so they suffered infamy, like King Jeroboam, who imposed idolatry in the Kingdom of Israel, with the construction of the two golden calves, one for Bethel and one for Dan. This abomination was one of the reasons why God allowed the destruction of the Kingdom of Israel at the hands of the Assyrian Empire centuries later.
The Book of Proverbs, then, with this phrase,
teaches that with wisdom comes glory and common sense, but with foolishness comes only infamy and madness.
