Wisdom right there. Parents should find smart ways to extract the information they need without interrogating their children, and after a while the children may naturally be comfortable enough to donate information. win - win. The only side effect I see of this policy is the children ( without being interrogated growing up) will likely not coop well, maybe even crap their pants when interrogated by the District Attorney (in the future if they run into one).
