I like meat, traveling and cats. Coping with the loss of my wife to breast cancer.

Hello everyone! I am excited to join this community on the cutting edge of technology. My name is Salvatore but my friends call me Sam and I am from Connecticut, USA. The past year has been full of ups and downs, just over a year ago I lost my wife to breast cancer. I am still dealing with that loss and struggling to redefine my life. My wife and I shared many adventures in the few years that we knew each other so I am trying to move forward, remain positive and keep having adventures.

This past June, I quit my job, sold my house and moved to France to attend a web development bootcamp. Getting away from home for 3 months gave me the opportunity to reset and start over. I am now back home, staying with family and trying to figure out my next steps.

I have a professional background working as a geographer and CAD drafter and right now I am dabbling with web development.

I have an affinity for all things meat such as sausage making, grills, smokers and crazy BBQs.

Somewhere along the way, I acquired a stray cat and named her Torry after the city where she was found walking around as a kitten.

In general, I am just trying to live as much as I can while I am still young and healthy enough to enjoy it. As I learned from losing my wife so young, nothing is guaranteed so if you want to do something, do it now!
