RE: Introducing myself: Marketing Director @ homeit.io

Welcome Fabio (I don't know how to do the "a" thing and I'm just too lazy to look it up, I apologize haha.

I have never crowdsourced for a startup, and am not very technical, but I have spent the last three years of my life establishing a music non-profit here in the states. We have a couple of alt-rock choirs, and we make YouTube parodies and musicals, and lots of other fun stuff! I am finally at the point where I am seeing a profit, so after 3 years, it is a cool thing to see!

I am a singer by nature, and an entrepreneur secondly, but I am finding that in music, it is so cut throat that the two almost need to be switched. I never knew how much business there really is to music. It's great to be good at what you do, but if you can't sell yourself, then someone crappier than you who can sell themselves will win out. It has been a frustrating learning curve!

Anyway, your startup sounds interesting, and it's awesome how much financial success you have had with it so far! I have never been in a band, but I have been in quite a few performing groups and a cappella groups, and I imagine the difficulties at least parallel. It is incredibly hard to keep a group of people together performing and managing gigs, etc. I would love to hear more about that though! Good luck on Steemit, I imagine you will do swimmingly with all of the things you dabble in! Nice to meet you!

Laughing about the "a" thing.

I think I'm cool but I'm not me-at-6-years-old-singing-the-National-Anthem-at-a-Suns-Playoff-game cool! :D

I find that working/playing with other people is more brutal as more genius they are! Guys with a strong personality... A lot of time I find myself dealing with feelings and egos instead of dealing with the problems that the project has. But it also looks likes that this mix of chaos, noise, brutality, and volatility is what makes things worth to be. Sounds like the big bang doesn't it?

Nice to meet you @bethwheatcraft

Indeed sometimes it has been easier to get with a group of people who all just love music and love to sing, even if they aren't the best, as opposed to curating the best people for the best sound. My goals in these areas has changed dramatically as I have gotten older and the only thing that much matters to me is continuing to get to sing, as opposed to being critically acclaimed for it! Oh how things change as time goes on.
And I don't know, you seem pretty cool to me! Steem on friend! :P
