Introduction - that's what I plan to do on Steemit

Hello Steemit community,

I am a complete newbie on this platform and still figure things out.

I am originally from Germany so English is not my first language. That means I will make mistakes. I am not living in germany anymore for more than 10 years. Diving is on passion and Germany is not the ideal spot to do so. I also don’t like the weather in Germany and prefer being in the sun.

Therefore, I started to be something like a digital nomad. A long time ago I used to work in dark and air-conditioned rooms with lots of computers as a sysadmin. Sometimes in winter I did not see much sunlight and decided that is not how I want to spend my life.

These days I do a lot of stuff whatever comes in. I translate, write content, blog on my own website, take photos, go diving, take underwater pictures and so on.

I always find stuff to do

I really don’t like being lazy and find always stuff to do. As a nerd that is not really difficult these days. Quite often I would like to play much more with my Raspberry Pi collection or do more photography.

I like to share my knowledge with other people. That is why I write tons of how tos, news, thoughts about Linux and open source on my blog. They are all in German but if I have enough time I try to translate some content that is relevant on the long term – like a few photography tips and so on.

What I'd like to do on Steemit

I think Steemit is a fantastic platform that is overdue. What I want to do on this platform is post photos I have taken and explain when and how they were created. It will be quite a few underwater pictures as this is my passion. I want to leave a little teaser.

This is a picture I made in a desert during a meteor shower. Unfortunately most of the meteors were in the opposite direction. But I like this picture as it looks like a man just discovered a dinosaur sleeping under the stars. In one of my posts I plan to do I will explain where the picture was taken and how I did it. It is not a trick shot – it is one single picture.

It's a bit ironic that my account just got approved because I am really busy right now. But I don't want to get involved as well and maybe a first post is a good push.
