Hello Steemians. A new member from Montréal

Hello Steemians,

I finally opened an account. So I thought I will do like every new member does and make a shot introduction of myself.

Now

I am a 37 years, web developer (backend mostly), I work as a freelancer from my laptop, and I love it. I am hoping in the future to build enough contacts to be able to get contract no matter where I am on the globe.

I live in Montreal, Canada since 2012...

In The Past

Before that I lived on the west coast for about 15 years, traveling from one town to another, doing odd jobs to sustain my nomadic way of life. But as I grew older, backpacking and hitchhiking lost their trill, or maybe I have closed that circle, that's why I settled down (at temporary) in Montreal, to build a foundation that will allow me to be able to work while traveling.
Every summer, I would work in orchards and vineyards, in the The Okanagan Valley. And camp the entire summer between the cherry trees, except for the few summers when I had a camper van.

When summer was over, I would go to the Haida Gwaii, The most beautiful place on earth in my opinion. These are north pacific islands where every autumn, mushroom pickers gather for the harvest of chanterelles. Which consist of: walking in the forest and picking mushroom, best job in the world.
The islands are wild and free, and so are the people who inhabit them. And the vegetation is so thick you feel surrounded by life, and rightly so.

The rest of the year I either got myself a job in the city, or in a ski resort, Whistler, or Banff.

In The Future

I look forward to the future. I have a lot of undone travelling. I am actually planing on moving to the Haida Gwaii to live, since the nature of my current job allows me to work from my laptop, anywhere, anytime.

Well folks, that's that. I hope I haven't bore you with my intro.

Cheers to you all.

PS. Those aren't my photos, I picked them on google images.
