Introducing Grandlane Transfer — Switzerland's Private Chauffeur Service, Now on Steemit 👋
Hello Steemit community!
We're @Grandlane Transfer, and we're excited to finally join this platform. A little about us — we're a professional chauffeur and private transfer service based in #Kloten, Switzerland, right next to Zurich Airport. We've been doing this for over ten years now, and what started as a small #airporttransfer operation has grown into something we're genuinely proud of.
We figured it was time to start sharing our world here, and what better way to begin than with a proper introduction?
What We Do
In simple terms: we get people where they need to go, comfortably and reliably. But there's a little more to it than that.
Most of our clients are either arriving at or departing from Switzerland's major airports — #Zurich (ZRH), #Geneva, #Basel, #Bern. They've just stepped off a long international flight, or they have a meeting in Zurich in two hours, or they're a family heading to the Alps for a #skiholiday and have more luggage than the train can comfortably handle.
We also do a lot of intercity runs — Zurich to #St.Moritz, #Zurich to Davos, #Geneva to #Lausanne, and everything in between. And we cover a good portion of #Europe too, including #Germany, #Italy, #France, #Austria, the #UK, #Spain, and more.
Our fleet runs from a VW Passat for straightforward economy transfers, through business class Mercedes and BMW saloons, all the way to the Mercedes S-Class and — for groups — the V-Class and a Sprinter minibus for up to fifteen people. We also have electric options: Tesla Model X, Model S, and the Mercedes EQE for clients who prefer a greener journey.
How We Actually Work
The thing that matters most to our clients — and the thing we're most careful about — is reliability. When someone lands at #ZurichAirport after a fifteen-hour flight from Singapore, they don't want to be hunting for a taxi or deciphering the train system with two suitcases. They want to see a driver holding their name, have their bags taken care of, and be in a clean, quiet car within minutes.
That's what we do. Our drivers track every flight in real time, so if a plane lands early or runs late, we already know and we've already adjusted. We give clients 40 minutes of free waiting time after landing — because airports are unpredictable and we'd rather wait than have someone rushing. Pricing is fixed and agreed before the ride, so there are no surprises at the end.
"I've had several trips with Grandlane. They have always been on time. I have been very satisfied with the Private Zurich Airport Transfers." — Lorand Birta
That kind of feedback is what keeps us going. We've been rated 5.0 by thousands of travellers on @Google, and honestly, the #reviews mean more to us than any marketing.
Why Steemit?
Honestly, because we want to connect with real people rather than just push content into an algorithm. We have clients from all over the world — business #travellers, families on #holiday, people visiting Switzerland for the first time, people who've been coming here for years. We thought Steemit would be a good place to share travel stories, tips about Switzerland and Europe, thoughts on the private transfer industry, and occasionally just what it looks like to run a premium chauffeur service in one of the world's most beautiful countries.
We're not here to just post promotions. We want to actually be part of this community. If you've ever been to Switzerland, have questions about travelling around Europe, or just want to talk travel, we'd love to hear from you.
A Little About #Switzerland, Since We Live Here
People often ask us what it's like working in Switzerland. The honest answer: it's extraordinary and demanding in equal measure. The country is stunningly beautiful — the Alps are impossible to get used to no matter how many times you drive past them — but @Swiss standards are high. Punctuality isn't just expected here, it's cultural. Which, for a transfer service, suits us perfectly.
We drive through some of the most beautiful roads in Europe on a regular basis. Zurich to St. Moritz through the Engadin valley. Geneva to #Chamonix with Mont Blanc filling the windscreen. Zurich to Grindelwald with the Eiger in the distance. We're lucky, and we know it.
What You Can Expect From Us on @Steemit
We plan to post about:
#Traveltips for Switzerland and Europe — the practical stuff that actually helps when you're visiting. Road trips and scenic routes worth knowing about. Behind the scenes of running a luxury chauffeur service. Insights on travelling efficiently as a business traveller. And yes, occasionally our services — but only when it's genuinely relevant and useful.
We're new here and still finding our feet on the platform, so we appreciate any guidance from the community on how things work. We've read enough to know that Steemit values genuine contribution over self-promotion, and that's exactly how we intend to approach this.
Thanks for reading this far. If you're ever in Switzerland and need a reliable private transfer — or just want to talk travel — you'll find us at grandlanetransfer.com or on WhatsApp at +41 7882 85 835. And use code GRANDLANE for 5% off your first ride.
Looking forward to being part of this community. 🇨🇭
