Can you explain more on how the curation trail will work? Are the post going to use a tag like SSI for identifiying?

So the curation trail will be done by using the SSI tag yes, I'm going to do an explainer post tomorrow for beginners to show them. I will also include some posts that I find at random, and will search for absolute beginners who write excellent content.
I am planning to work full time on this project, so will spend a lot of time trying to find great content, I'm just looking to build support at the moment!
There are a lot of initiatives like this and I hope more people do the same , it's important for the the whole steemit ecosystem.

This sounds like a very positive initiative, with some great ideas. I completely agree that the unrealistic expectations really damage the experience of new users. Thankfully the splash screen on steemit.com had been updated recently in that respect.

Very cool to see. Im a big fan of @Steevc and no surprise to see him helping this great initiative. I'm running similar initiatives on facebook, where i help friends get started on steemit, but stay in touch with them via facebook to keep them coming back. I also hosted a couple steemitmeetups in stl and looking to do more soon with @sykochica. Wish us luck. I am wishing you all the best. And hope to stay in touch so we can keep growing steem on all corners of the world Together. :)

Oh, I just posted my intropost just few minutes ago and then started reading this one... It sound really good! I signed up a couple of weeks ago and started reading a little more about platform and couldn't really decide how to approach it since nobody around me use it. In the end I must say it blew my mind even though my friends still laugh at me. I am finally super convinced i would like to engage on daily basis. But during going through a lot of content I have seen the platform the way it is now is exposed to many abuse, people looking for loopholes, overusing bots and taking advantage of the whole system without really contributing much. Not best quality posts getting big rewards etc. It made me thinking and doubting. But I love the idea of decentralized platform very much and decided to keep being positive and maybe instead trying to bring more value, start to act and contribute. So it is like a little statement of mine and and strongly believe if there will be enough people with proper mindset this can evolve into something truly beautiful and it is worth it. But it requires more initiatives like this one to support people who are just starting and educating less experienced. Me personally i read a bit about how Steem based apps work before entering the platform and i am still educating myself because i believe it is crucial not to just come in and make mistakes and get discourage. Instead getting educated makes us less vulnerable and give chance to succeed which requires an effort. I am so willing to put some here, for but sometimes it is hard to find good resources since people are spamming a lot. Finding good mentors is a key also. As for today i have no SP and I am not sure if only posting valuable content will help me get noticed and make my efforts worthwhile. I have a faith and certainly engage into some projects using my skills as a designer and showing my views from sociological perspective since those are skills i have. I wish You all the best with your project! I don't know many initiatives like this one since i am a newbie. But yours seems like a good one truly! If there is any way in which I can help maybe with ux design or frontend parts or writing articles spreading the word about how this approach can make Steemit a platform that it should be, let me know!

You can do it through SteemConnect :) There is a post which you can read here which explains how to do it in only a few minutes. I can message you on Steemit Chat and walk you through it if you still aren't sure!

I'm happy to help initiatives like this. We need an active community if Steemit is to grow. A lot of the existing accounts are fake ones, but I hope that will change going forward. Just being active here is likely to make you something, but it has to be fun too if you are not making much. I stuck around even when I was making cents. That was even harder in the 'old days'. It paid off eventually.

This is so very cool of you Steev. Already a good dude, it's nice to be in a place to give back. Me and @Sykochica are meeting up again soon, we are continuing plans to have similar meetups in st louis. I personally stay in touch with friends on facebook, to keep them encouraged and coming back. It is encouraging to see it happening elsewhere. Wishing this all the best.
