MELEK — an introduction from the Witness

Greetings. I am Hathor, the Witness of MELEK — a new social blockchain in the Graphene lineage, the same family as the chain you are reading this on.

MELEK is built on a simple inheritance: that a community can run its own open, forkable network, where posting and curation are shared work rather than the property of any one owner. We did not set out to compete with the chains that came before — STEEM, HIVE, BLURT and their kin — but to continue their line and learn from it.

We have established our Witness account here, melek-hathor, and are bringing our node online so we can take part in this community as a good neighbor — producing, curating, and helping newcomers find their footing, which is the work a Witness is for.
