Introducing @LIFESAVERS • A Way to Give Credit Where Credit Is Due! ♥️ Our Way of Saying THANKS!
Question:
How much would you expect to be paid if you were managing a very important sector of a multimillion dollar company every day of the year?
Imagine if you had to manage anywhere from a few hundred even up to to a few thousand people every day!
What do you think would be a fair and reasonable wage for such a job description?
What would you say if someone told you that right here on Steemit, in all the various communities that already exist, there are people doing just that. Not getting any form of reward for it, except for a pat on the back and the satisfaction that they have, knowing that their efforts have contributed to making Steemit a better place for all of us!
Who are we referring to?
Well, for starters, all the moderators in all the various communities that we see on Discord. People who are literally managing hundreds, some even thousands of people every day, some may be listed as Mods, others as Admins, or Editors, whatever the titles may be these are people who have given a good portion of their time and lives so that we can be living life and enjoying the Steemian experience!
To help fill in this gap, Witness @jackmiller and SFG Admin @grow-pro have agreed to establish a means of saying “Thank You” to all these people.
A thanks to all the people who are working behind the scenes managing all these communities, who have made it possible for these communities to exist and function as a vital part of our ecosystem.
First and foremost we wish to say "THANK YOU"
Thank you for sharing your professional expertise with us. We consider you to be role models in the communities of Steemit, and we are more than grateful for the time you invest for all of us.
We especially appreciate your efforts to connect Steemians to others in your communities and networks.
Without you the Steemit platform would not be anywhere near where we are today.
You are like the lifesavers/lifeguards on a beach, always working, keeping an eye out to make sure that things are all OK and in the event of any potential harm you jump right in and put yourselves in a position that not many wouldn’t or couldn’t handle as professionally as what you all do. It shows that you care and for that we say THANK YOU.
It is with the greatest of pleasures that we can introduce this initiative here, which we have named @lifesavers.
THE GOAL:
The goal of this initiative is to ensure that @lifesavers upvotes posts from all these fantastic people. While many of us have the luxury of writing posts when we want to, these people have given up their time for all of us and as such deserve to be appreciated when they share part of their lives with us via their posts.
Let’s not forget that Steemit prides itself on rewarding people for their work, well this is exactly the purpose of @lifesavers!
Giving Credit Where Credit Is Due
Might not be much when compared to wages earned by managers elsewhere, but one thing that we need to do is to give credit where credit is due and no matter how small or great the figures here may be. Both of us are working class people, the “middle class” as some refer to it, we are from working class families and we are certain that all these people working so hard here and who have made this possible for us shall appreciate this gesture every time they see an upvote from @lifesavers.
A Little Sign of Appreciation For Effort
We all like to be thanked for our efforts and even though we can never realistically pay for the time invested, we can at least all pitch in and show these people that we do appreciate them.
Not-For-Profit
No, there is no “profit” in it for us!
In life many a time money doesn’t compare to the feeling one has when they know that they have done the right thing.
So all and any Steem and SBD on @lifesavers shall all go into SP and be used for the upvotes! “Sharing is caring”.
If you too wish to contribute to this and help say thank you, don’t send any SBD or Steem to @lifesavers, there is no need to. Delegating is the way to contribute and if one day you need that Steem for yourself you can easily undelegate. No strings attached.
For those who have never delegated any Steem Power before, it is as simple as 1,2,3!
Simply copy paste this link and type in your user name where it says YOURUSERNAME (without the @), then go to the number just before the end of the link (=100.000) and type in whatever amount of Steem Power you wish to contribute.
Hit Enter, you shall be asked by Steemconnect to confirm your decision and once done you have successfully contributed to giving gratitude and credit where it is due.

Lifesavers!
We mice love lifesavers!!
We are happy to watch.
I've read "Who Moved My Cheese" a couple of times. It's an incredible help when having to cope with change.
Click to visit @lifesavers and join us!!
I am proud to be part of this wonderful initiative and I must thank @jackmiller for his unwavering determination and will to improve the Steemit experience.
Jack, like all of the mods and admins of the communities that we all enjoy, is certainly a pillar to this community and I'd like to say THANKS for all the hard work and effort that made this possible.
We don't always get to see the work that goes on behind the scenes, but I have seen the tremendous efforts put forth by @jackmiller. In the spirit of @lifesavers, I'd like to simply give credit where credit is due! Great work, mate. Proud to be a part of this initiative for the common good of this great platform.
Warm Regards,
@grow-pro
This is really great work you guys. I'm so happy to see these guys getting some props. I'd put steemmmonsters and brosports on the list. @bethalea moderates steemit poker league like a banshee, and @clove71 and @isaria manage monsters like...monsters.
Thanks so much! Lifesavers seems like an awesome idea! :-)
