Hate's kale but love's kombucha; get to know me
Hello, fellow internet friends and foes!
Apparently, I’m late to the game (apologies) but being new to this site, I figured I’d introduce myself. Hailing from Michigan, I am above all a political nerd and dog lover. I was blessed to receive an education in the beautiful state of Montana at Rocky Mountain College (it’s a real university, I swear) with a degree in political science and communications. And surprisingly to most– I’m employed in my career field!
I work as a political analyst in a small libertarian-leaning think tank in Utah, where my work is divided into 9 months of research and writing, and 3 months of hardball–aka lobbying up at the state legislature. No, I am not like the other soulless contract lobbyists, I differ substantially in pay (unfortunately) and morals (fortunately). Will likely be posting some of my policy focused articles/thoughts on here– so keep an eye out if you want to read another unsolicited political opinion that you’ll likely disagree with! If you want to hear my thoughts- check out my new podcast called Altered Outlook.
The rest of my time is spent reading, daydreaming about my doggo Gracie, hiking, skiing, camping, and cooking. Luckily, Utah is a spectacular state for all of the above.
Pictured above is my adventure buddy & partner in crime, Brenden. From mountains and waterfalls to the desert and red rock, I can't name another state with such a vast variance of landscape biodiversity. If you are outdoorsy in the slightest, Utah can accommodate.
Because I am a bit of a health nut (more recently, in a so far successful attempt to lose my freshman 15, wahoo!) cooking is a necessary side hobby. Especially because restaurants are generally unhealthy & I can’t cope with that chicken, broccoli, rice bs; I want some delicious/exciting meals. Get at me if you need healthy meal inspiration.
Hope you enjoyed this post! Excited to be here. -Molly
