Huge Rewards, The Six days fasting of Shawwal

Asalam alaekum warahmotullah wabarakaatuh

وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ تَنفَعُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers.

As we are preparing for the celebration of Eid-il-Fitr this season, May Almighty Allah accept it as an act of Ibadah and grant us the opportunity to witness more of it on the path of Sunnah Mutohharo.

However, It is imperative to remind the Muslim brethren about another huge rewards after the completion of Ramadan which is fasting of Six (6) days in the forthcoming month (Shawwal). This is recommended by the Noble Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in one of his Hadiths which goes thus: On the authority of Abu Ayoub al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) who said that the messenger of Allah {Sallah llahu alaehi Wa salam} said " He that observed fasting in Ramadan then he follows it with Six(6) days of Shawwal, this is equal to the fasting of whole life. (Bukhari:2758).
The benefits of this fasting in the month of Shawwal are immeasurable as explained in the afore quoted hadith. It is like one uses one's whole life span to fast in the course of Almighty Allah. May He (Allah) make it easy for everyone of us and likewise grant us the rewards in full form (Amin).

It is to be noted however, that these (6) days' fasting in Shawwal is not necessarily to be consecutive. i.e it can be observed with intervals, simply put, at one's convenient time. One must only be sure that one completes the six (6) days before the lapse of the month of Shawwal.

Conclusively, I pray once again to The Most Merciful to continuously shower His mercy on us in abundant and not making this Ramadan the last in our life.
{كُلُّ عامٍ و أَنْتُمْ بِخَيرٍ}.
