Hello and welcome back to “My Life in Soccerverse”! Chapter eighteen takes us into the Saturday league round, with an Inter side that keeps winning by the narrowest of margins and preserving the balance at the top of Serie A, but with the rest of the Victory Vault being torn apart by a new game engine that, frankly, is obscene and completely nonsensical. After months of work and carefully building everything up, we suddenly find ourselves staring at absurd and hard-to-explain results, with the feeling that we’ve reached a real crossroads: keep grinding away, or step back before all the work done so far gets blatantly distorted by a mid-season change that should never have happened.

League Results – Wednesday Matchday

🇮🇹 Inter

We visit Verona, Sanx’s side, a dangerous and very well-organised team that is always a tough opponent to face. The game is unlocked by Hakan Çalhanoğlu in the 20th minute, helped too by their goalkeeper picking up an injury just five minutes after kick-off, and from there the scoreline never changes again. We bring home three priceless points, while Fiorentina’s win keeps the top of the table unchanged, with the Viola still second and seven points behind.

🇵🇱 Raków Częstochowa

Away to Stal Mielec, a side in deep trouble, we go behind after just four minutes, but in the second half the reaction comes and gets us back on track. Rundić, our left-back, suddenly turns into a striker by accident and flips the whole game with a brace that will be remembered for a long time, while Korona Kielce’s draw brings us back to the top of the table alongside Wisła Kraków. A hugely important response, especially after last week’s setback.

🇺🇦 Viktoriya Sumy

Here the new game engine shows its most absurd side: we had conceded only five goals all season, and we let in five in a single game for no logical reason whatsoever. Against Zorya Luhansk it ends 5–2 for them, and the feeling is that under this system it will be almost impossible to stay near the top for much longer. A massive blow, more psychological than arithmetic.

🇷🇴 Bihor Oradea

Once again, the madness of the new engine costs us our first defeat of the season, this time against a weaker CS Mioveni side, without a coach and lined up in the default 4-4-2, with no substitutions at all. It’s a painful loss, made even worse by the fact that Politehnica Timișoara win again and draw level with us at the top of the table. The kind of result that makes you seriously question the point of it all.

🇷🇺 Amkar

We host Akron, a side relegated from the top flight and with a squad far stronger than ours, so the final result is not exactly a surprise. It ends 2–0 for them, in a match that lays bare the limits of where we stand right now and keeps us well away from any real promotion conversation.

🇹🇷 Denizlispor

A second straight defeat, but this time the frustration is even stronger because, just like with Bihor, we are not losing to a better team: we are losing to the sheer nonsense of the new game engine and to a zombie side playing without any real logic. Another setback that hurts badly, especially at a time when stability would have been crucial.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Edinburgh City

We face a direct clash for third place against Annan Athletic and, even though we now seem incapable of beating zombie teams that play in a ridiculous way, this time we manage to nick it against a human-managed side. A smash-and-grab win that takes us back up into the third promotion spot for the Scottish second division, and which ends up being gold in a round like this.

🇬🇷 Panachaiki

The Greek tragedy continues and, at this point, there really isn’t much left to say: a third straight defeat and an aggregate scoreline of 13–0 against us. There’s not much to add beyond the feeling that this storyline has now become almost grotesque in its brutality.

🇦🇹 Krems

I pick Krems specifically to see just how ridiculous the new game engine really is, and the result is almost laugh-out-loud funny, if it weren’t so painful. I hide the lineup so the team plays as if it had no manager, and magically we scrape a 1–1 draw against the third-placed side, a slightly stronger and well-coached opponent. There really is no end to the absurdity.

🇧🇬 Sayana Haskovo

Another zombie team, another match where they dominate on paper, but this time our goalkeeper saves us. He is miles above the average level in the division, and the match ends 0–0, a result that feels more like a small miracle than a routine draw in a system that increasingly looks broken.

🇭🇷 Segesta Sisak

Strangely enough, we manage to beat a bot side by playing much better than them, the classic exception that proves the rule. We finish with a 3–1 win, at least restoring a little bit of normality in a round that has been almost completely insane.

🇫🇷 Dieppe

On the same pattern as the others, we host a bot side and, even though we are not overrun by the opposition, we still end up losing by the narrowest of margins. Another example of how this new setup is making everything feel distorted and unpredictable, with outcomes that seem detached from any previous logic.

🇨🇿 Zlín

Weeks and weeks of work thrown away as if they meant nothing, against yet another bot side that the new engine places in our path. It’s one of those results that makes you want to switch everything off, because when the system becomes this arbitrary, even the most serious work risks being tossed in the bin.

Balance and outlook

This eighteenth chapter probably marks one of the lowest points of the entire season, not so much because of the individual results themselves, but because of the context in which they happen. Inter keep doing their job, winning again by the narrowest of margins and preserving the top-end balance in Serie A, but the rest of the Victory Vault are being literally torn apart by an obscene, senseless and deeply destabilising game engine that risks falsifying months of work exactly when the season is entering its most delicate phase. For that reason, and I say this very plainly, the Victory Vault have been put up for sale: at the moment the plan is to finish the season with Inter out of a sense of responsibility toward the project, and then walk away from everything for good, because continuing to grind in a system this altered would only turn frustration and effort into something completely pointless.

Ciao e bentornati a “My Life in Soccerverse”! Il diciottesimo capitolo ci porta al turno di sabato, con un’Inter che continua a vincere di misura e a tenere invariati gli equilibri in Serie A, ma con il resto del Victory Vault travolto da un nuovo motore di gioco che, senza troppi giri di parole, si sta rivelando osceno e completamente privo di senso. Dopo mesi di lavoro e di costruzione, ci ritroviamo davanti a risultati assurdi e difficilmente spiegabili, con la sensazione sempre più netta di essere arrivati a un bivio vero: continuare a sbatterci oppure fermarsi prima che tutto venga definitivamente falsato da cambiamenti avvenuti in corsa.

Risultati – Turno di Campionato (Mercoledì)

🇮🇹 Inter

Andiamo a far visita al Verona del nostro amico Sanx, una squadra temibile, ben organizzata e sempre complicata da affrontare. La partita si sblocca già al 20’ grazie a Hakan Çalhanoğlu, anche complice l’infortunio del loro portiere dopo appena cinque minuti dal fischio d’inizio, e da lì il risultato non cambia più. Portiamo a casa tre punti preziosissimi, mentre la vittoria della Fiorentina lascia invariata la situazione di vertice, con i viola che restano secondi a sette lunghezze.

🇵🇱 Raków Częstochowa

Ospiti dello Stal Mielec, squadra in profonda difficoltà, andiamo subito sotto al 4’, ma nella ripresa arriva la reazione che ci rimette in carreggiata. Rundic, il nostro terzino sinistro, si improvvisa bomber per caso e ribalta tutto con una doppietta da raccontare, mentre il pareggio del Korona Kielce ci riporta in testa alla classifica insieme al Wisła Kraków. Una risposta importante, soprattutto dopo il colpo subito lo scorso turno.

🇺🇦 Viktoriya Sumy

Qui il nuovo game engine mostra tutto il suo lato più insensato: avevamo subito appena cinque gol in tutta la stagione e ne incassiamo cinque in una sola partita, senza alcuna logica apparente. Contro lo Zorya Luhansk finisce 5–2 per loro, e la sensazione è che con questo sistema sarà praticamente impossibile restare nelle zone alte ancora a lungo. Una mazzata enorme, più sul piano mentale che su quello aritmetico.

🇷🇴 Bihor Oradea

Anche qui la follia del nuovo motore di gioco ci costa la prima sconfitta stagionale, contro un CS Mioveni inferiore, senza allenatore e schierato con il classico 4-4-2 di default, senza nemmeno effettuare cambi. Una sconfitta che fa malissimo, soprattutto perché il Politehnica Timișoara torna a vincere e ci raggiunge in vetta alla classifica. Il genere di risultato che ti fa davvero chiedere che senso abbia tutto questo.

🇷🇺 Amkar

Ospitiamo l’Akron, squadra retrocessa dalla prima divisione e con una rosa nettamente superiore alla nostra, quindi il risultato finale non sorprende più di tanto. Finisce 2–0 per loro, in una partita che mette a nudo i limiti della nostra situazione attuale e ci tiene lontani da qualsiasi discorso promozione concreta.

🇹🇷 Denizlispor

Seconda sconfitta consecutiva, ma questa volta la rabbia è ancora più forte perché, come nel caso del Bihor, non perdiamo contro una squadra migliore: perdiamo contro la demenzialità del nuovo game engine e contro una squadra zombie che sembra giocare senza alcun senso. Un altro passo falso che pesa tantissimo, soprattutto perché arriva in un momento in cui avremmo avuto bisogno di stabilità.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Edinburgh City

Affrontiamo lo scontro diretto tra quarta e terza contro l’Annan Athletic e, nonostante ormai sembriamo incapaci di battere le squadre zombie che giocano in modo assurdo, stavolta contro un allenatore umano riusciamo a passare con un gol di rapina. Una vittoria che ci riporta al terzo posto utile per la promozione in seconda divisione e che vale oro, soprattutto in mezzo a un turno così storto.

🇬🇷 Panachaiki

La tragedia greca continua e, ormai, non ci sono davvero più parole: terza sconfitta consecutiva e un passivo totale di 13–0. Non c’è molto da aggiungere, se non la sensazione che questo filone sia diventato ormai quasi grottesco nella sua brutalità.

🇦🇹 Krems

Scelgo proprio il Krems per testare quanto il nuovo game engine sia balordo, e il risultato è da morire dal ridere, se non ci fosse da piangere. Tengo la formazione nascosta per far giocare la squadra come se fosse senza allenatore e, magicamente, strappiamo un 1–1 contro la terza in classifica, una squadra leggermente superiore e ben allenata. Non c’è davvero fine al ridicolo.

🇧🇬 Sayana Haskovo

Un’altra squadra zombie, un’altra partita dominata da loro, ma stavolta ci salva il nostro portiere, che è nettamente di un livello superiore rispetto alla media della categoria. Finisce 0–0, un risultato che sa di piccola impresa più che di semplice pareggio, in un contesto che continua a sembrare profondamente distorto.

🇭🇷 Segesta Sisak

Stranamente riusciamo a sconfiggere una squadra bot giocando nettamente meglio degli avversari, la classica eccezione che conferma la regola. Chiudiamo con un 3–1 che almeno ci restituisce un minimo di normalità in una giornata che di normale ha avuto davvero pochissimo.

🇫🇷 Dieppe

Sulla falsariga delle altre, ospitiamo una squadra bot e, nonostante non veniamo surclassati dagli avversari, finiamo per perderla di misura. Un’altra prova di quanto questo nuovo assetto stia rendendo tutto assurdo e imprevedibile, con esiti che sembrano staccati da ogni logica precedente.

🇨🇿 Zlín

Settimane e settimane di lavoro buttate via come se nulla fosse contro l’ennesima bot che il nuovo engine ci piazza davanti, con un epilogo che lascia davvero senza parole. È uno di quei risultati che fanno venire voglia di spegnere tutto, perché quando il sistema diventa così arbitrario, anche il lavoro più serio rischia di essere gettato nel cestino.

Bilancio e prospettive

Questo capitolo diciotto segna probabilmente uno dei punti più bassi dell’intera stagione, non tanto per i singoli risultati in sé, quanto per il contesto in cui maturano. L’Inter continua a fare il suo, vincendo ancora di misura e mantenendo intatte le posizioni di vertice in Serie A, ma il resto del Victory Vault viene letteralmente travolto da un game engine osceno, senza senso e profondamente destabilizzante, che rischia di falsare il lavoro di mesi proprio nel momento in cui la stagione entra nella sua fase più delicata. Per questo motivo, e lo dico senza troppi giri di parole, il Victory Vault è stato messo in vendita: al momento l’idea è quella di terminare la stagione con l’Inter per puro senso di responsabilità verso il progetto e poi chiudere tutto definitivamente, perché continuare a sbattersi in un sistema così alterato rischia soltanto di trasformare frustrazione e impegno in qualcosa di sterile.
