Hello and welcome back to "My Life in Soccerverse"! Monday marked the seasonal debut of our clubs in the national cups, followed by the usual league round on Wednesday, kicking off a week that promised high emotions from the very start. Between knockout clashes and delicate league fixtures, the Victory Vault clubs were called to show character, squad depth and the ability to handle pressure in key moments. Without spoiling too much, it’s fair to say that cups and league told two very different stories, leaving us with mixed feelings but also several important signals for the rest of the season.

National Cups Results - Monday Matchday

🇷🇴 Bihor Oradea

In our cup debut we face a third-tier side (we play in the second division). The gap is clear and it shows on the pitch: a solid 2–0 and qualification safely in the bag, without ever really being in danger.

🇷🇺 Amkar

In the first-round draw, luck proves to be truly blind as we end up hosting the strongest and most prestigious side of the lot, Zenit Saint Petersburg. Even with a heavily rotated side we manage to keep it 0–0, with the stats on our side, but luck deserts us in the penalty shoot-out and we go out right at the finish line.

🇹🇷 Denizlispor

We face a fifth-tier club and everything goes as it should. Even if we have to wait until the last quarter of an hour to break the deadlock, we go through with a good 2–0, fielding the second string and giving the starters some well-needed rest.

🇦🇹 Krems

A favourable draw sends us away to a smaller team. We manage the tie well and cruise through with a clear 3–1, punching our ticket to the next round without too much trouble.

🇭🇷 Segesta Sisak

We meet a team from our same division but still decide to give minutes to the second unit. It turns into a hard-fought battle, but we edge it 2–1, a narrow win that confirms our solidity and depth.

🇫🇷 Dieppe

At Dieppe as well we go for rotation, despite facing an opponent from our own division, but everything goes smoothly. We deliver an authoritative performance and a clean 3–0 that sends us through to the next round without any real scares.

🇨🇿 Zlín

Zlín, still not directly managed by us, are drawn against a third-division side. From a very balanced game they come away with a narrow win that seals qualification and stands as a first small positive sign under the Victory Vault umbrella.

League Results - Wednesday Matchday

🇮🇹 Inter

Sooner or later it had to happen, but it hurts when it comes in a match where we really did enough to win – yet we know how the football gods work. Credit to Spezia, excellently coached and the absolute “Mr. X” of the league with 5 draws in 5 games. Now it’s all about refocusing on Catanzaro: after this stumble, it’s crucial to get back to winning ways immediately.

🇺🇦 Viktoriya Sumy

We travel to Chornomorets and, given the strength of the opponent, we once again opt for a cautious and compact approach. This time we don’t manage to score, but we also prevent them from doing so, bringing home a valuable point in our battle for survival.

🇷🇴 Bihor Oradea

We visit a direct promotion rival, sitting on maximum points after the first four rounds. We dominate the game and, with our second consecutive 2–0, we climb up to second place for the moment, putting ourselves firmly in the race for the top.

🇷🇺 Amkar

We face Volgar Astrakhan, a dangerous side and on paper stronger than us. We play clearly better and take the lead in the first half, but after the break we concede the 1–1 and the result doesn’t change until the final whistle, leaving us with a slight feeling of regret.

🇹🇷 Denizlispor

67% possession, 31 total shots and 11 on target… and yet they win. After this defeat we sign a striker with a higher overall: it’s obvious that in Turkey our main issue right now is finishing.

🇬🇷 Panachaiki

A copy-paste of Denizlispor’s game: 65% possession, 26 shots in total, 10 on target, and we still lose 1–0. The pattern is clear here as well: we have to improve in front of goal, because the football is there but the final blow is missing.

🇦🇹 Krems

We host a good team in fine form and on the pitch the two sides are fairly even, but the numbers say it all: they score 3 goals with 3 shots on target, we stay scoreless with 5. Third loss in a row and time for some serious soul-searching.

🇭🇷 Segesta Sisak

After 4 straight wins we crash into the wall called Toni Silic, Gaj’s goalkeeper and the true hero of the day. Total dominance with 66% possession and an incredible 21 shots on target – TWENTY-ONE – but it’s still not enough: we get overtaken by GOSK Dubrovnik, who keep flying and remain on maximum points.

🇫🇷 Dieppe

We have everything it takes to fight for the top spots, and this week’s 4–1 proves the quality of our squad. A convincing performance and three points that allow us to keep marching forward with real confidence.

🇨🇿 Zlín

Finally, Zlín! First 3 points after 4 straight defeats and, even more importantly, after the game we are finally able to officially take over control of the club. Unfortunately, the outgoing manager leaves us a squad full of players absolutely exhausted by the recent run of matches, which will force us to get creative and improvise a starting eleven for Saturday.

Balance and Outlook

The balance of this week is a perfect play of light and shadow. In the national cups the report is almost frame-worthy: practically everyone goes through, and even though Amkar are knocked out on penalties, they come within a whisker of a huge upset against Zenit – a result that says a lot about how far the Victory Vault project has come. In the league, on the other hand, the dominant theme is missed chances: many teams play great football, control the game and the stats, but don’t get the results they deserve, with Inter’s 1–1 against Spezia standing out as the clearest symbol of this “bitter” round. It’s a bittersweet week, but the underlying feeling remains positive: performances are there, our playing identity is taking shape and, if we keep going like this, sooner or later the results will have no choice but to line up with what we’re building on the pitch.

Ciao e ben tornati a "My Life in Soccerverse"! Lunedì ha segnato il debutto stagionale delle nostre squadre nelle coppe nazionali, seguito dal classico turno di campionato del mercoledì, in una settimana che fin dall’inizio prometteva emozioni forti. Tra sfide da dentro o fuori e incroci delicati in campionato, i club di Victory Vault si sono ritrovati a dover dimostrare carattere, profondità di rosa e capacità di reggere la pressione nei momenti chiave. Senza anticipare troppo, possiamo dire che coppa e campionato hanno raccontato due storie molto diverse, lasciandoci sensazioni contrastanti ma anche diversi segnali importanti per il prosieguo della stagione.

Risultati – Turno di Coppe Nazionali (Lunedì)

🇷🇴 Bihor Oradea

All’esordio in coppa troviamo una squadra di terza serie (noi siamo in seconda). Le differenze ci sono e si vedono: 2–0 e passaggio del turno in cassaforte, senza mai davvero rischiare.

🇷🇺 Amkar

Al sorteggio del primo turno la fortuna dimostra di essere davvero cieca: ospitiamo il più forte e blasonato Zenit San Pietroburgo. Schierando addirittura le seconde linee riusciamo a chiuderla sullo 0–0 con le statistiche dalla nostra parte, ma la fortuna ci volta le spalle ai rigori, che ci condannano all’eliminazione proprio sul più bello.

🇹🇷 Denizlispor

Affrontiamo una squadra di quinta serie e va tutto come deve andare. Anche se aspettiamo l’ultimo quarto d’ora per sbloccarla, passiamo il turno con un buon 2–0, schierando le seconde linee e facendo rifiatare i titolari.

🇦🇹 Krems

Il sorteggio favorevole ci manda sul campo di una squadra minore. Gestiamo bene la pratica e la superiamo con un netto 3–1, staccando senza affanni il biglietto per il turno successivo.

🇭🇷 Segesta Sisak

Affrontiamo una squadra della nostra stessa divisione ma scegliamo comunque di dare spazio alle seconde linee. Ne esce un match combattuto dal quale usciamo vincitori di misura, imponendoci 2–1 e confermando la nostra solidità.

🇫🇷 Dieppe

Anche in casa Dieppe optiamo per il turnover nonostante l’avversaria sia della nostra stessa divisione, ma fila tutto liscio: prestazione autoritaria e 3–0 che ci regala il pass per il prossimo turno senza troppi patemi.

🇨🇿 Zlín

Lo Zlín, ancora non gestito direttamente da noi, trova sulla propria strada una squadra di terza divisione. Da una gara estremamente equilibrata usciamo con una vittoria di misura che vale il passaggio del turno e un primo, piccolo segnale positivo sotto l’ombrello Victory Vault.

Risultati – Turno di Campionato (Mercoledì)

🇮🇹 Inter

Prima o poi doveva pur accadere, ma spiace succeda in una partita in cui avremmo meritato la vittoria: però conosciamo bene gli dèi del calcio. Onore a uno Spezia ottimamente allenato e assoluto “Mister X” del campionato con 5 pareggi su 5 partite disputate. Ora testa al Catanzaro: è fondamentale ricominciare subito a vincere dopo questo stop.

🇺🇦 Viktoriya Sumy

Andiamo in casa del Chornomorets e, alla luce del valore dell’avversario, riproponiamo un atteggiamento cauto e abbottonato. Questa volta non riusciamo a segnare ma impediamo anche a loro di farlo, portando a casa un buon punto in chiave salvezza.

🇷🇴 Bihor Oradea

Facciamo visita a una diretta concorrente per la promozione, a punteggio pieno dopo i primi quattro turni. La dominiamo e, con il secondo 2–0 consecutivo, voliamo momentaneamente al secondo posto, candidandoci seriamente per la corsa alla vetta.

🇷🇺 Amkar

Affrontiamo il Volgar Astrakhan, avversario temibile e sulla carta più forte di noi. Giochiamo nettamente meglio e passiamo in vantaggio nel primo tempo, ma nella ripresa subiamo l’1–1 che resiste fino al triplice fischio lasciandoci un po’ di amaro in bocca.

🇹🇷 Denizlispor

67% di possesso palla, 31 tiri totali di cui 11 nello specchio… e vincono loro. Dopo la sconfitta prendiamo un attaccante con overall più alto: è evidente che in Turchia il problema, al momento, è soprattutto realizzativo.

🇬🇷 Panachaiki

Partita fotocopia di quella del Denizlispor: 65% di possesso, 26 tiri totali, 10 nello specchio e alla fine vincono gli avversari 1–0. Anche qui il leitmotiv è chiaro: bisogna migliorare sotto porta, perché il gioco c’è ma manca il colpo finale.

🇦🇹 Krems

Ospitiamo una buona squadra in striscia positiva, in campo le due formazioni si equivalgono ma i numeri dicono tutto: loro fanno 3 gol con 3 tiri in porta, noi restiamo a secco con 5 conclusioni nello specchio. Terza sconfitta consecutiva e tempo di riflessioni profonde.

🇭🇷 Segesta Sisak

Dopo 4 vittorie consecutive ci schiantiamo contro il muro Toni Silic, portiere del Gaj e vero eroe di giornata. Dominio totale con il 66% di possesso palla e addirittura 21 tiri in porta, VENTUNO, ma non basta: veniamo scavalcati dal GOSK Dubrovnik, che continua a correre restando a punteggio pieno.

🇫🇷 Dieppe

Abbiamo tutte le carte in regola per lottare per le posizioni di vertice e il 4–1 di giornata certifica il valore della rosa. Prestazione convincente e tre punti che ci permettono di proseguire la nostra marcia con grande fiducia.

🇨🇿 Zlín

Finalmente Zlín! Primi 3 punti dopo 4 sconfitte consecutive e, soprattutto, al termine della gara riusciamo a prendere ufficialmente le redini del club. Purtroppo l’allenatore uscente ci lascia in eredità diversi giocatori letteralmente spremuti dalla serie di partite consecutive e questo ci costringerà a inventarci una formazione d’emergenza da mandare in campo sabato.

Bilancio e prospettive

Il bilancio di questa settimana è un perfetto gioco di luci e ombre. Nelle coppe nazionali il report è quasi da incorniciare: passano praticamente tutti e l’Amkar, pur eliminato ai rigori, sfiora un’impresa enorme contro lo Zenit che dice molto sulla crescita del progetto Victory Vault. In campionato, invece, il leitmotiv è quello delle occasioni sprecate: tante squadre propongono un ottimo calcio, dominano sul piano del gioco e delle statistiche, ma non raccolgono quanto meriterebbero, con l’1–1 dell’Inter contro lo Spezia come simbolo più evidente di questo turno “indigesto”. È una settimana dal sapore agrodolce, ma le sensazioni restano positive: le prestazioni ci sono, l’identità di gioco si sta consolidando e, se continuiamo su questa strada, i risultati prima o poi dovranno per forza allinearsi a ciò che stiamo costruendo in campo.
