Nel nuovo, ennesimo, disegno di legge sulla sicurezza e' stato inserito il divieto di burqa e niqab nelle scuole italiane.
Sara' anche un emendamento di un governo di destra ma mi trova concorde.
Non c'entra la tutela della religione, ve lo dice un ateo che ritiene che un paese non dovrebbe mai neanche avere una religione di stato.
Religione di stato, e' bene ricordarlo, nata coi patti Lateranensi voluti dal Papa e dal Duce.

Intanto un discorso di sicurezza, coi tempi che corrono non e' un discorso di destra affermare che sotto quelle specie di mantelli ci puo' essere di tutto.
Poi c'e' il discorso per i docenti di riconoscere le allieve, se il viso e' coperto la cosa non e' affatto semplice.
Occorrerebbe poi capire quanto quelle ragazzine siano felici di indossare quegli indumenti, se non si tratti di un atto di costrizione da parte delle famiglie, un obbligo di seguire una religione che, come in molti casi con le religioni, viene imposta dalle famiglie.

La proposta prevede di punire i genitori che, per protesta per il divieto, decidessero di ritirare la figlia dalle lezioni durante la scuola dell'obbligo.
Argomento delicato, ma siamo in Italia, valgono le nostre leggi, che devono si tutelare la liberta' di culto ma anche la sicurezza della popolazione e la liberta' di chi e' costretto ad indossare quegli abiti.

The latest bill on security has included a ban on burqas and niqabs in Italian schools.
It may be an amendment from a right-wing government, but I agree with it.
It has nothing to do with protecting religion. This is coming from an atheist who believes a country should never even have a state religion.
State religion, it's worth remembering, was born with the Lateran Pacts desired by the Pope and Il Duce.

First of all, it's a matter of security; in these times, it's not right-wing to claim that anything can be hidden under those cloaks.
Then there's the issue of teachers being able to recognize their students; if their faces are covered, it's not easy at all.
We should also understand how happy those girls are to wear those clothes, whether it's an act of coercion by their families, an obligation to follow a religion that, as in many cases with religions, is imposed by their families.

The proposal calls for punishing parents who, in protest of the ban, decide to withdraw their daughter from classes during compulsory schooling.
It's a sensitive issue, but this is Italy, our laws apply, which must protect freedom of worship, but also the safety of the population and the freedom of those forced to wear those clothes.
