📷My trip in SICILY! Part 2: Ortigia and Siracusa (the Greek theatre and the Ear of Dionysius)
I've already shown you some pics of the beautiful Ortigia in part one.. (https://steemit.com/italy/@italianexplorer/my-trip-in-sicily-part-1-the-labyrinthine-ortigia)...Here you are some other photos that I took there and in the archaeological site of Siracusa! Hope you enjoy!
Some other pics of Ortigia in the Sicilian sunlight!

And here you are the Greek Theatre of Syracuse! It was first built in the 5th century BC, rebuilt in the 3rd century BC and renovated again in the Roman period. Today, it is a part of the Unesco World Heritage Site of Syracuse. In summertime this theatre lives again by hosting classical plays!
And...This is the famous "Ear of Dionysius" is a limestone cave carved out of the Temenites hill in the city of Syracuse. Its name comes from its similarity in shape to the human ear.. There are so many legends connected with this place, it's really incredible!
Stay tuned for MORE! ;)
