Good morning, happy new day. It’s @macinova. Welcome to my Monday diary. Today is Monday. A fresh week, fresh goals, and for me, a fresh start with my health.

Early Morning by 5:00 AM, I woke up feeling like throwing up. That heavy, uneasy feeling in the stomach. I knew exactly what it was — it’s been a while since I did a proper deworming. As part of taking care of myself, I had worm drugs because it has been long I took the drugs. I woke and quickly took it before any other thing. Doctors always say to take it on an empty stomach, so I did. I drank water, laid down for a bit, and prayed for a smooth week ahead. Mondays are hard enough without stomach wahala.

Mid-Morning around 8:00 AM. The nausea had calmed down. It was time to reward myself. I ate cornflakes with milk, my favorite. Crunchy, cold milk, a little honey on top. There’s something so comforting about that bowl. It reminds me of school days, rushing to get ready but still wanting something sweet. I sat by the window, watched people start their week, and felt grateful for small joys. Health first, then happiness.

Afternoon by 1:30 PM. I was thinking on what to eat For lunch, I decided to go local. I ate African salad. Abacha (African salad) with pepper. The mix of spicy, crunchy, and savory just hits differently. Eating African salad on a Monday feels like a celebration. It’s light, it’s healthy, and it connects me to home. While eating, I thought about the week ahead, work, content, and rest. Food is fuel, but it’s also memory. Then night came I slept off.. A new week doesn’t have to start perfectly. It just has to start intentionally.
