The topic of snow is still hot, especially considering an event that happened to me on Thursday morning, when I found myself having to deal with freezing snow...

Not a lot of snow fell, but the really low temperatures meant that the water pipes outside the buildings whose stairways I clean were frozen...

A girl I'd never seen before arrived. I asked her if she'd kindly fill up the bucket of water for me to mop the stairs. She replied that she'd ask her mother, obviously she didn't live in that building. While the answer came, I started cleaning the windows of the front door, to give her the necessary time...

I hear a voice, vaguely recognizing it, climb a couple of flights of stairs, and see a lady whose house I've carried groceries for several times. Even with a push-up cart, a single bottle of mineral water is enough to make the whole thing rather difficult. So I offered to carry it upstairs, carrying her cart in my arms...

Having said this little preface, I was greatly surprised. Not only did she fill my bucket with water, but she also made it very hot, making my work experience more pleasant. What can I say except that if you do good, the good often comes back to you. The fact that I helped her, and I will do so again, motivated her to provide me with water at a higher temperature, to make things easier for me. These are small things, nothing more, but they warmed not only the environment around the bucket, but also my heart...

L'argomento neve tiene ancora banco, anche in considerazione della circostanza di un evento che mi è capitato giovedì mattina, quando mi sono ritrovato a dover affrontare la neve ghiacciata...

Non ne è caduta tantissima, di neve, ma le temperature veramente basse che sono arrivate hanno comportato il fatto che le cannelle di acqua poste all'esterno delle palazzine di cui pulisco le scale fossero ghiacciate...

Arriva una ragazza, che non avevo mai visto prima di allora, le chiedo se cortemente mi riempie il secchio d'acqua, per passare il mocio sulle scale, mi risponde che avrebbe chiesto a sua madre, evidentemente non abitava in quella palazzina, nel frattempo che arrivava la risposta mi metto a pulire i vetri del portone d'ingresso, per darle il tempo necessario...

Sento una voce, vagamente la riconosco, faccio un paio di rampe di scale e vedo una signora, alla quale diverse volte ho portato la spesa in casa, in quanto seppur avendo un carrello di quelli con la risalita facilitata, è sufficiente una confezione d'acqua minerale per rendere il tutto piuttosto difficoltoso, per cui mi ero offerto di portargliela al piano superiore, prendendo di peso in braccio il suo carrello...

Fatta questa piccola premessa, la mia sorpresa è stata grande, perché non solo mi ha riempito il secchio d'acqua, ma l'ha pure messa molto calda, in modo tale da rendere più piacevole la mia esperienza lavorativa, cosa dire, se non che se si fa del bene, il bene spesso ti ritorna indietro, la circostanza di averla aiutata, e lo farò ancora, l'ha motivata a fornirmi dell'acqua con temperatura rialzata, allo scopo di agevolarmi, sono piccole cose, nulla di più, ma che non hanno riscaldato unicamente l'ambiente circostante il secchio, ma anche il mio cuore...
