Ciao a tutti amici e amiche di Italy e di Steemit.

Per anni abbiamo sentito ripetere che il più grande difetto di Bitcoin fosse la sua volatilità.

Troppo instabile. Troppo rischioso. Troppo imprevedibile.

Eppure oggi BlackRock si prepara a lanciare un nuovo ETF chiamato BITA che punta a trasformare proprio la volatilità di Bitcoin in una fonte di rendimento per gli investitori. (Rif.)

L'idea è semplice: sfruttare le oscillazioni del prezzo attraverso una strategia con opzioni per generare un flusso di reddito periodico.
In altre parole, ciò che per anni è stato considerato un problema diventa improvvisamente una risorsa.

Quando Bitcoin era un fenomeno di nicchia, la volatilità veniva indicata come una prova della sua inaffidabilità.

Ora che grandi istituzioni finanziarie sono entrate nel settore, la stessa volatilità viene confezionata e proposta come un'opportunità di investimento.

È un segnale interessante di come sta evolvendo il mercato, ma penso che il BITA non sia un sostituto di Bitcoin.

Resto dell'idea che è meglio custodire BTC nel proprio wallet, però potrebbe essere interessante investire in un ETF BTC che faccia incassare premi periodici anche quando il prezzo si muove lateralmente.

Vedremo se verrà apprezzato dal mercato...

For years, we have heard that Bitcoin's biggest flaw was its volatility.

Too unstable. Too risky. Too unpredictable.

Yet today, BlackRock is preparing to launch a new ETF called BITA, designed to turn Bitcoin's volatility into a source of income for investors. (Ref.)

The idea is simple: take advantage of price fluctuations through an options strategy to generate a regular income stream.

In other words, what was considered a problem for years is suddenly becoming an asset.

When Bitcoin was still a niche phenomenon, volatility was often cited as proof of its unreliability.

Now that major financial institutions have entered the sector, that same volatility is being packaged and offered as an investment opportunity.

It's an interesting sign of how the market is evolving, but I don't think BITA is a substitute for Bitcoin itself.

I still believe that holding BTC in your own wallet is the better option. However, investing in a Bitcoin ETF that can generate periodic income even when the price moves sideways could be attractive to many investors.

We'll see whether the market embraces it...
