Bitcoin supera l'oro... almeno nei portafogli degli americani. / Bitcoin surpasses gold... at least in American portfolios. [ITA/ENG]

Ciao a tutti amici e amiche di Italy e di Steemit.

Bitcoin continua a far parlare di sé, questa volta per un dato piuttosto curioso.

Secondo un recente rapporto di River, (Rif.), negli Stati Uniti circa 49,6 milioni di adulti possiedono Bitcoin, pari al 18,6% della popolazione adulta.
I possessori di oro, invece, sarebbero 28,8 milioni, circa il 10,8%.

Questo non significa che Bitcoin sia già considerato un bene rifugio migliore dell'oro, né che gli americani abbiano investito più denaro in BTC che in oro.

Significa però che in meno di vent'anni Bitcoin è riuscito a entrare nei portafogli di milioni di persone, diventando un investimento sempre più diffuso.

Probabilmente hanno contribuito anche gli ETF spot, gli exchange sempre più semplici da utilizzare e una maggiore conoscenza di questo settore rispetto a qualche anno fa.

Se però penso che una tecnologia nata nel 2009 sia riuscita, in così poco tempo, a raggiungere una diffusione che l'oro ha costruito in secoli di storia... vorrà pur dire qualcosa.

Naturalmente questo non rende Bitcoin "migliore" dell'oro.
I due asset hanno caratteristiche, rischi e storie molto diverse.
Però è un segnale di come stia cambiando il modo in cui molte persone pensano al risparmio e agli investimenti.

Se oggi doveste scegliere una sola riserva di valore per i prossimi 10 anni, puntereste su Bitcoin, oro... oppure su entrambi?

Bitcoin keeps making headlines, and this time it's because of a rather interesting statistic.

According to a recent report by River (Ref.), around 49.6 million adults in the United States own Bitcoin, representing 18.6% of the adult population.

By comparison, 28.8 million adults own gold, or about 10.8% of the adult population.

This doesn't mean that Bitcoin is already considered a better store of value than gold, nor that Americans have invested more money in BTC than in gold.

What it does mean is that in less than twenty years, Bitcoin has found its way into the portfolios of millions of people, becoming an increasingly common investment.

This growth has likely been driven by spot ETFs, user-friendly exchanges, and a much greater public understanding of Bitcoin than just a few years ago.

When I think about the fact that a technology launched in 2009 has reached this level of adoption in such a short time - while gold has taken centuries to achieve its place -well... that has to mean something.

Of course, this doesn't make Bitcoin "better" than gold.

The two assets have very different characteristics, risks, and histories.

Still, it shows that the way many people think about saving and investing is changing.
