Ciao a tutti amici e amiche di Italy e di Steemit.

Oggi niente analisi pesanti, è pur sempre domenica, quindi ci sta bene una piccola curiosità che mi ha fatto sorridere e immaginare il futuro di Bitcoin.

C'è un'idea veramente curiosa e affascinante sviluppata da una start-up: minare Bitcoin in orbita, utilizzando satelliti alimentati dall’energia solare. (Rif.)

Insomma, il mining potrebbe avvenire fuori dal pianeta!

È ancora un progetto iniziale, ma il fatto che qualcuno stia pensando a Bitcoin che viaggia nello spazio fa capire quanto l’ecosistema stia diventando creativo.

L’idea è semplice:

utilizzare satelliti o infrastrutture nello spazio,
sfruttare energia solare continua,
ridurre alcuni limiti energetici e geografici del mining sulla Terra.

Insomma, forse un giorno potremmo avere hashrate che arriva direttamente dallo spazio.

E per un progetto come quello di Bitcoin, nato nel 2009 come un semplice software su internet, prima estratto da pochi appassionati con il computer di casa e oggi sostenuto da enormi farm di mining in tutto il mondo, pensare di arrivare persino nello spazio sembra quasi incredibile.

La moneta nata da un’idea di Satoshi Nakamoto continua a vivere e ad evolversi insieme alla tecnologia, qualsiasi forma essa possa assumere.

L’ultimo satoshi verrà minato nel 2140 - ne ho parlato in un mio precedente post, se vi va potete dargli un'occhiata (qui) - e per ovvi motivi non potremo esserne testimoni.
Magari però... riusciremo ad assistere al mining di Bitcoin tra le stelle.

Hi everyone, friends from Italy and Steemit!

Today, no heavy analysis - it’s still Sunday - so a little curiosity that made me smile and imagine the future of Bitcoin fits perfectly.

There’s a truly fascinating and curious idea developed by a start-up: mining Bitcoin in orbit, using satellites powered by solar energy. (Ref.)

In other words, mining could take place off the planet!

It’s still an early project, but the fact that someone is thinking about Bitcoin traveling through space shows how creative the ecosystem is becoming.

The idea is simple:

use satellites or space infrastructure,
harness continuous solar energy,
overcome some of the energy and geographic limits of mining on Earth.

In short, maybe one day we could have hashrate coming directly from space.

And for a project like Bitcoin, which started in 2009 as a simple piece of software on the internet, first mined by a few enthusiasts on home computers and today supported by massive mining farms around the world, the idea of reaching even into space seems almost unbelievable.

The currency born from an idea by Satoshi Nakamoto continues to live and evolve along with technology, in whatever form it may take.

The last satoshi will be mined in 2140 - I talked about this in a previous post, which you can check out (here) - and for obvious reasons, we won’t be able to witness it.
But maybe we’ll get to see Bitcoin mining among the stars.
