Ogni tanto salta fuori la solita domanda: chi è Satoshi Nakamoto?

Il nome che non ha un volto. Il mistero che non smette mai di incuriosire.

Questa volta è il New York Times ha voler dire la sua! (Rif.)

Una sua inchiesta sostiene che Adam Back potrebbe essere proprio Satoshi Nakamoto.

Uno che nel mondo crypto non è certo l’ultimo arrivato.

Indizi, coincidenze, somiglianze nello stile di scrittura, collegamenti tecnici, tempistiche “sospette”… tutte cose che un po’ ti fanno riflettere e fanno venire qualche dubbio.

Però manca sempre la cosa fondamentale: non c’è nessuna prova crittografica.

E nel mondo Bitcoin la regola è semplice, se non firmi con le chiavi di Satoshi… non sei Satoshi

Comunque Adam Back non è il primo sospettato, negli anni sono saltati fuori anche Nick Szabo, Hal Finney, Craig Wright, e tutti quasi convincenti ma nessuno confermato.

Ma quanto ci facciamo affascinare da queste teorie, dal mistero?

Alla fine, mi chiedo, ma cambierebbe davvero qualcosa sapere chi è Satoshi?

Bitcoin è ancora lì da 17 anni.
Funziona. Va avanti senza un volto, senza un capo.

Quello che conta davvero è soltanto che Bitcoin sia decentralizzato.

Qualcuno la pensa come me? O morite dalla voglia di sapere chi si nasconde dietro questo nome?
Io non lo so...ma questo mistero che avvolge Bitcoin, ormai, fa parte di Bitcoin stesso.

Every now and then, the same question comes up: who is Satoshi Nakamoto?

A name without a face. A mystery that never stops fascinating.

This time, it’s the New York Times trying to have its say! (Ref.)

According to their investigation, Adam Back could actually be Satoshi Nakamoto.

Someone who is definitely not a newcomer in the crypto world.

Clues, coincidences, similarities in writing style, technical connections, “suspicious” timing…all things that make you stop and think and maybe raise a few doubts.

But one key thing is still missing: there is no cryptographic proof.

And in the Bitcoin world, the rule is simple: if you don’t sign with Satoshi’s keys… you’re not Satoshi.

Anyway, Adam Back is not the first suspect.
Over the years, names like Nick Szabo, Hal Finney, and Craig Wright have also come up all quite convincing, but never confirmed.

But how much do we let ourselves be fascinated by these theories? By the mystery?

In the end, I keep asking myself: would it really change anything if we knew who Satoshi is?

Bitcoin has been there for 17 years.
It works. It moves forward without a face, without a leader.

What really matters is that Bitcoin is decentralized.

Does anyone else feel the same way? Or are you dying to know who’s behind this name?

I’m not sure…but this mystery surrounding Bitcoin has, by now, become part of Bitcoin itself.

And maybe that’s exactly what makes it so fascinating…
