Lo so, è sabato, ci vuole qualcosa di leggero... invece vi propongo ancora una volta le tensioni legate al petrolio.
Ma vado subito al sodo: se nel breve periodo, sembra chiaro che il vincitore è Trump, nel lungo invece, indovinate un po', c'è l'India.
Gli Stati Uniti in questi ultimi giorni stanno aumentando le esportazioni approfittando del momento di crisi…guarda caso, creato dal suo presidente.
Parliamo di un più 30%. (Rif.)
Fatto sta che le compagnie petrolifere made in USA stanno aumentando i loro guadagni, così come gli speculatori del settore.
Ma mentre guardiamo il presente, in India il solare + le batterie costano già meno del carbone!
Di circa il 15% in meno e può coprire fino al 90% della domanda. (Rif.)
Non tra 10 anni. Adesso!
Non è ideologia green. È convenienza.
Insomma, da una parte abbiamo il petrolio che vince grazie alle guerre, e dall’altra le rinnovabili che vincono grazie ai costi.
Due mondi diversi. E due velocità diverse!
I fossili fanno monetizzare nel presente.
Ma sappiamo a quali costi: umani e ambientali.
Mi chiedo se abbiamo davvero intenzione di cambiare modello…o vogliamo sfruttare il più possibile il vecchio infischiandocene delle conseguenze?

I know, it’s Saturday, we should keep things light… and instead here I am again talking about tensions related to oil.
But let me get straight to the point: if in the short term it seems clear that the winner is Trump, in the long term, guess what… it’s India.
In recent days, the United States has been increasing exports, taking advantage of the crisis… which, coincidentally, was created by its own president.
We’re talking about a +30%. (Ref.)
The fact is that US oil companies are increasing their profits, along with speculators in the sector.
But while we focus on the present, in India, solar + batteries already cost less than coal!
About 15% less, and it can cover up to 90% of demand. (Ref.)
Not in 10 years. Now.
This isn’t green ideology. It’s convenience.
In short, on one side we have oil winning thanks to wars, and on the other renewables winning thanks to costs.
Two different worlds. And two different speeds!
Fossil fuels generate profits in the present.
But we know the cost: human and environmental.
I wonder if we really intend to change the model… or if we just want to squeeze as much as possible out of the old one, ignoring the consequences.
