L’adozione silenziosa delle Crypto. / The silent adoption of Crypto [ITA/ENG]

Ciao a tutti amici e amiche di Italy e di Steemit.

Vi ricordate la prima ondata crypto con ICO, primi NFT tipo CryptoKitties? Era ancora roba “da pionieri”, parliamo del 2017/2018.

Il vero boom però c'è stato un paio di anni dopo quando è esploso tutto: Axie Infinity, NFT venduti a cifre stratosferiche, “play to earn” ovunque e gente che lasciava il lavoro per giocare.

Che tempi!

Poi… il nulla. Nel 2022 l’hype si è spento anche a causa del crollo crypto e all'insostenibilità di certi modelli.

E da lì in poi… silenzio.

Però la follia del 2021 sembra che adesso si stia tornando però in modo silenzioso...

Infatti, le crypto stanno tornando nei videogiochi. Ma in un modo completamente diverso.

Un esempio è il progetto Pudgy World (legato ai Pudgy Penguins) che è stato lanciato come un gioco normalissimo ma sotto ha blockchain + asset crypto! (Rif.)

E la parte crypto è quasi invisibile all’utente.

Quindi non le vedi, non le percepisci. Non vengono nemmeno nominate.
Però, senza saperlo, le stai già usando…

Un po’ come internet anni fa. All’inizio era una cosa “da esperti”.
Poi è diventato semplicemente… normale.

Forse la vera adozione non arriva quando tutti ne parlano.
Quello è Hype.
Ma quando smetti di accorgerti che esiste, vuol dire che l'adozione di massa è arrivata.

E a pensarci bene…
non è esattamente quello che Bitcoin sta cercando di fare da sempre?

Do you remember the first crypto wave with ICOs and early NFTs like CryptoKitties?
That was still pioneer stuff, back in 2017/2018.

The real boom came a couple of years later, when everything exploded:
Axie Infinity, NFTs selling for crazy amounts, “play to earn” everywhere, and people literally quitting their jobs to play.

Those were the days!

Then… nothing.
In 2022, the hype faded, partly the crypto crash and the unsustainability of certain models.

And from that point on… silence.

But that 2021 madness now seems to be coming back… just in a much quieter way.

In fact, crypto is returning to videogames. But in a completely different form.

One example is Pudgy World (linked to Pudgy Penguins): a game that looks totally normal… but underneath it runs on blockchain with crypto-based assets. (Rif.)

And the crypto part is almost invisible to the user.

So you don’t see it, you don’t feel it. It’s not even mentioned.

Yet, without realizing it… you’re already using it.

Kind of like the internet years ago. At first, it was something “for experts”. Then it simply became… normal.

Maybe real adoption doesn’t happen when everyone is talking about it.
That’s just hype.

Real adoption happens when you stop noticing it.

And if you think about it…
isn’t that exactly what Bitcoin has been trying to do all along?
