MetaMask diventa Multichain: ora include anche Bitcoin! / MetaMask goes Multichain: Bitcoin is now included! [ITA/ENG]
Ciao a tutti amici e amiche di Italy e di Steemit.
Sentita l'ultima novitĆ di MetaMask?
Se usi MetaMask da un poā, probabilmente lāhai sempre associato a Ethereum e alle sue mille app.
PerĆ², da pochi giorni, MetaMask ha iniziato a supportare Bitcoin nativamente.
Niente piĆ¹ versioni wrappate, niente giri strani. Bitcoin vero!
Fino a ieri, i token in versione wrapped (tipo WBTC) erano una sorta di gettone che rappresentava Bitcoin su Ethereum, ma non era BTC reale.
Con il nuovo aggiornamento:
- si puĆ² ricevere e inviare BTC direttamente
- si possiede un proprio indirizzo Bitcoin, generato dal wallet
- non serve passare da token intermedi o smart contract
Ć un passo enorme soprattutto per chi ĆØ agli inizi e si perde facilmente tra wallet diversi, reti diverse e token che sembrano uguali ma non lo sono.
Che significa Bitcoin vero e non wrapped?
Significa una cosa semplice: Bitcoin resta sulla rete Bitcoin!
Questa integrazione non arriva a caso. MetaMask si sta trasformando in un wallet multichain, dove puoi gestire piĆ¹ reti.
Tutto da unāunica app.
Secondo me questa notizia oltre ad essere positiva, mette in luce una cosa importante, e cioĆØ che anche chi ĆØ nato nellāecosistema Ethereum ha capito che Bitcoin non si puĆ² ignorare.
Bitcoin non ha bisogno di MetaMask per esistere, esistono giĆ ottimi wallet BTC decentralizzati.
Ma MetaMask non puĆ² piĆ¹ snobbare Bitcoin, se vuole restare utile sia ai vecchi che ai nuovi utenti.
Voi che ne pensate? Non ĆØ un altro pezzetto di strada in avanti verso l'adozione? š

Have you heard the latest news about MetaMask?
If youāve been using MetaMask for a while, you probably always associated it with Ethereum and its countless apps.
But in the last few days, something has changed: MetaMask has started supporting Bitcoin natively.
No more wrapped versions, no more complicated workarounds. Real Bitcoin.
Until now, wrapped tokens (like WBTC) were basically a kind of tokenized version of Bitcoin on Ethereum, but they were not real BTC.
With the new update:
- you can send and receive BTC directly
- you get your own Bitcoin address, generated by the wallet
- thereās no need for intermediary tokens or smart contracts
This is a huge step, especially for beginners who often get lost between different wallets, different networks, and tokens that look the same but arenāt.
What does āreal Bitcoin, not wrappedā mean
It means something very simple: Bitcoin stays on the Bitcoin network.
This integration didnāt happen by chance. MetaMask is evolving into a multichain wallet, where you can manage multiple networks, all from a single app.
In my opinion, this news highlights something important:
even projects born in the Ethereum ecosystem have realized that Bitcoin canāt be ignored.
Bitcoin doesnāt need MetaMask to exist, there are already excellent decentralized BTC wallets.
But MetaMask can no longer afford to ignore Bitcoin if it wants to remain useful to both old and new users.
