PHOTO TIME WEEK #55 The Sunflower Path to School

in Italy2 months ago

Some memories really shine. Time makes them feel like treasures. I always see that dusty road. Just two bike wheels and a huge wave of yellow flowers. Biking to school through those fields was the best time.

Mornings started sunny, not with a loud alarm clock. We heard kickstands drop instead. Open air was the promise of the day. We grabbed the bars, packs bumping along. Then we rode into a golden dream.

The sunflowers were giant towers. Their huge yellow faces tracked the bright sun. They made perfect tunnels for our bikes.

Our tires whirred on the hard dirt road. That sound meant freedom was here. Sunlight broke through the moving leaves. It drew shifting shapes right on the ground.

Bees buzzed loudly around us. They filled the air during our morning trip. We also smelled something special. Earthy dust mixed with a sweet, nutty smell from all those flowers.

Pushing the pedals moved us beyond the quiet morning. This ride felt bigger than just going to class. It was pure childhood joy. We raced and laughed hard. Our voices bounced off those huge, quiet yellow heads. We use to see many people fishing near riverside.

The wind blew through our hair. The world looked sky blue and deep gold. Schoolwork and tests seemed far away then. The bike ride taught us more than school could. It showed us life’s easy rhythm.

Things move fast now. Most people drive through dull city streets. That simple bike happiness is usually gone. But that memory still shines bright for me. It is a sign of simple times. Real happiness hides in those common, beautiful moments. Those sunny days were truly golden. Sunflowers paved the way to learning back then.
