Hello Steemians,
Welcome to Day 17 of my Pentris gameplay challenge on SteemRetroGames. Every day of this journey teaches me something new — either about the game, about my strategy, or about my consistency. Today’s session had a little bit of everything: a strong start, a shaky finish, and a reminder that progress isn’t always linear.

First Play

Score — 1110

My first round today was really solid. I felt calm, focused, and my reactions were on point. The blocks fell exactly where I wanted them, and I maintained a clean board for most of the game. Once I crossed the 1000 mark, I knew I was in a good flow. Finishing at 1110 gave me a nice boost of confidence and set a great tone for the day.

Second Play

Score — 572

This is where things changed.
My second game didn’t go the way I expected at all. I fell off early — misplacements, rushed decisions, and a few rotations that didn’t land where I intended. Pentris can be unpredictable like that. Even when you start the day strong, one small mistake can break your rhythm and shift everything.

I ended the second round at 572, which was much lower than I would’ve liked. But that’s the reality of daily gaming progress — some rounds lift you up, some remind you to stay sharp.

Final Thoughts

Even though the second play wasn’t my best, today still counts as consistent effort. The important part is showing up every day, learning from mistakes, and pushing forward. One bad round doesn’t erase the growth — and one good round is a sign of improvement.

Tomorrow is another chance to perform better.
