Another Day, Another Step Forward
Today marks Day 20 of my Pentris journey on SteemRetroGames, and honestly, crossing the 20-day mark feels amazing. What started as a simple daily challenge has slowly grown into a routine I actually look forward to. Even on days where the scores fluctuate or the blocks fall in the most chaotic ways possible, there’s always something to learn — and today was no different.
First Play — Score: 552
My first attempt started off fairly steady. Nothing too flashy, but nothing disastrous either. I managed decent stacking, kept my cool, but didn’t push for any high-risk clears. A calm and calculated warm-up.
Second Play — Score: 238
This one… let’s just say it humbled me.
You know those games where the pieces just refuse to cooperate? Every rotation felt wrong, every placement felt slightly off. My alignment slipped early, and I couldn’t recover. It was my lowest moment today, and it definitely reminded me that Pentris doesn’t forgive even the slightest lapse of focus.
Third Play — Score: 1693 (Best of the Day)
Redemption time!
My third play was sharp, fast, and energetic. I corrected every mistake from earlier rounds, kept the board clean, and went on a solid streak. The score jumped so quickly that I almost surprised myself. Definitely the highlight of today.
Final Thoughts
Day 20 has been a mix of slow starts, frustrating misplays, and then a big bounce-back at the end. It’s days like this that make the challenge worth it — showing that consistency, patience, and confidence always pay off eventually.

Good evening, dear ubifav, I did enjoy reading your Day 20 Pentris journey. Making it to the 20-day mark is by no means a trifle accomplishment. It expresses order, enthusiasm, and steadfastness, and I am so pleased that you were able to tell both good and bad in a straight manner.
Your initial score of 552 was like a warm up, not too risky, just a gamer. Then the second so of 238 did make me smile due to the fact that we all have that feeling at some point - when all the blocks are falling into the wrong pockets and the game is simply not cooperating. It hurts, but it also serves as a reminder to us that though we do become good, Pentris can still have his way with us.
Your third score of 1693 was the victory. Magnificent reappearance. Your ability to reverse everything and rectify your past errors is a demonstration of good concentration and perseverance. It demonstrates that all bad rounds may result in a game changer as long as we do not give up.
