I continue putting all my time into Steem, SMTs and Steem apps and believe in building a platform that bridges the world's passions with their success. brixtongg is not my account.

@ned - Would it be fair to say that these transfers are for consultation? Or that they are being made to a consultation company, possibly a new partner of your own?

https://steemit.com/steemit/@ats-david/re-tanbay-re-penguinpablo-daily-steem-stats-report-saturday-june-23-2018-20180623t153403200z

They might be payment for early investors, salary for new devs or fees for partnerships (as you have suggested).

Or they are hired to sell a big stake without to much noise

All we want as investors in Steem, both finacial and time/effort wise, is a clear non-poetic response to why you have been powering down in a mostly down market. Can't you at least create some hype behind your power down? There is green everywhere in crypto but with Steem. It seems investors might be hesitant to buy with our CEO powering down for no real clear reason. Would you recommend for people to buy Steem as your powering down? What is up duder? @ned

I really believe that steemit will allow me to make a very decent complimentary income once it really takes off....I have invest a LOT of time and relativity a lot of money (almost 2 bitcoin in 2016 which was worth almost $40,000 at one point)....I feel SMT's will really cause a lot of demand for steem and I have a feeling you guys are waiting for a nice bull market to attach your waves of good news to to help push steem up high.... I trust you to deliver.... from a little guy... I trust a portion of my future in your hands

Time to grind the 'rumor' mill to a halt...Ned is pulling out some funds to buy me a Lambo, for being such a witty contributor here on steemit.

Cheer up everyone. You might be the next recipient of such a grand reward...

Congrats, you made the #steemitminute for today!

Was that Steem given away for free?

@ned as a Ceo it would be nice if you spread news, is different to a private investor.

Exactly..

@ned can do with his money what he wants...but he is the CEO of STINC in addition to being a token holder.

Needless to say CEO selling off his share of tokens is a signal , to say the least.

Words are words but actions have much more weight .Now I am not saying to hit the panic button and lose all confidence but there is a number where the % sell of by CEO signals low confidence in the project ,

are we there yet ? probably not
does @ned selling his token is very much same as other token holders? it is not.

This basically still says nothing!

And if I were you and I would be cashing out now, I would have said exactly the same.

So we are all clueless what you are going to do with $250.000? Yeah I'm talking about real fiat money!

And @brixtongg might not be yours, it is your Steem being transferred to this account!
So it doesn't make any difference whether you first cash out and then pay someone or directly pay them in Steem. In total you have paid+ cashed over $500k.

And that is without the even bigger amounts from @steemit @steemit2 & @steemit3 that have been cashed in the last months. @berniesanders did you also notice the transactions?

In my opinion it would be best to proactively inform us about such large transactions. But even when someone asked a question about it, no answer was given. So why did you try to answer now? Was it a threat for Steemit or yourself?

Thank you for your comment.

Downvoted for disagreement of rewards. That's very naughty removing your 'declined payment' from this comment.

On another topic, trending is getting stuffed with really shit posts. The community can't budge them because they are so heavily upvoted by bots. I understand that you don't want to get directly involved but the community has no way of knocking this crap back. Newcomers don't understand the bot process and actually think this is the best Steem has to offer. Can you provide some assurance that this problem is at least on your mind. Thank you.

A nice series of posts about the voting-bot problem, with an eye to the Steem Blue & White papers.

Did you just downvote him and then ask for a favor?🤦🏻‍♂️

Yeah, it's kind of ironic isn't it.

What were those big transfers ?
if you know to tell us.

What kind of business is Steemit INC. where the CEO casually cashes out all of his stake and pacifys its stake holders. Please you owe us dedicated @steemit users an explanation. We are here trying to improve a system that is not living to its full potential. With your power down @ned it leaves people questioning long term steemit viability and stability. You are single handily manipulating the market of Steem by powering down your stake and your other accounts associated directly with Steemit.com. We are trying hard here to improve Steemit. What investor would invest into Steemit with its CEO acting weird and making promises that seem like a dangling carrot anymore... ::cough:: ::cough:: hf20. Please can you bring some ease of mind to the investors of Steemit with a logical if not clear reason why we all shouldn't abondon ship like our Captian seems to be doing?

Hi
I see many post in steemit

Wow this is happening behind our backs...

Actually, it's happening right in front of our eyes.

I believe it’s a good thing for our community.

Because

  1. @ned will have less Steem Power
  2. Whoever is going to buy these Steem if @ned sell them will build or create another amazing Steem Blockchain based app
  3. I feel there’ll be exciting news coming to Steem because of EOS (my gut feeling)

Can you elaborate on number 3. please?

I've watched so many @Dan's interview and I'm pretty sure that Steem Blockchain based Dapps will be able run on EOS Blockchain very soon and it'll boost STEEM price.

Its like you can download the Facebook app on your Iphone and Android phone. But Facebook just an App.

So in very near future Dlive, Busy, Dtube, Steepshot, Musing, Zappl, etc can run top of EOS as well as STEEM.

Dapps are the future and we'll have Duber (Decentralised Uber) will be built on top of EOS too. Hope it makes some sense to you..

That is very interesting. I could be wrong but I think deepcrypto is a Binance wallet. However, Huobi-pro is a Korean Exchange.

To my understanding american citizens cannot participate of Korean exchanges, even when using VPN. As they require strict controls, id, passport, that kind of deal.

So we could speculate that his trip to Korea is connected to this. Now, does this mean he is funding something? Does this mean he is using a Korean friend to cash out? No idea...

Interesting.. I would think that at these prices dumping that much tokens would be counterintuitive, but then again I've never had the privilege of holding that many, so my biases might not be useful to the analysis.

Of course he won't tell us what's going on. But my curiosity has been spiked.

Nicely written and insightful reply. My curiosity is spiked as well. It's a shame that we can't truly know what's going on. A big part of the draw to blockchain tech, for me, is the transparency involved. I guess it can only go so far.

Perhaps in the near future we will be given more puzzle pieces and we can put them together to make sense of it.

You bring up a good point, the selling of steem atm being "counterproductive" IF that's what he is doing. The fact that it would seem @ned is likely cognizant of the plausible upcoming rise in crypto's value, these transfers are quite likely just a move toward diversification. Would it be better if he simply hoarded his tokens? In my opinion, markets are like the tide, they move back and forth, but the ocean remains. Ned is just moving water to be used and filled elsewhere :)

In my opinion, markets are like the tide, they move back and forth, but the ocean remains.

I might quote you one of these days, that's a very accurate description.

We are due for a bull run of alts, right after the BTC stops moving for a little bit. It's always a swing.

Oh yeah, that does make a lot of sense. That could be it Acid.

/me takes off his batman costume

@acidyo is that @ned's official twitter account ?

Yes, i've been following it for a while now.

@meno i am just wondering how true this is. Why would they want people to send Ether if they were planning to give away same?
I don't know Ned so just wondering

https://twitter.com/certainassets/status/1011025811909087232

every single person offering ether is a scammer, do not click on any of it. look at the account names, they are cloned.

but you said this is the official twitter @ned account?

OMG..i just noticed the subtle difference in the ether giveaway account

At this point in time the safe move is the following:

Nobody is giving away anything on twitter. If someone is doing so, its an impersonation scam account.

I don't go on tweet machine at all...

well said Meno. thanks for the insight!

also, @meno or @acidyo- does anyone know what "#crypto fund or broker-dealer. " is?

or what this means: "They sell “us” and the 3-5 year crypto cycle."?

I'm not too familiar with this to be honest when it comes to crypto. But as a general concept. A fund manager, is basically a custodian of assets.

It's common in the world of traditional investments, so I'm not surprised these are starting to sprout in crypto. Now, it's important to research the legality of these things, because there is a good chance they require KYC compliance and that to me is a deal breaker.

yes i figured it was something mirroring other asset custodians... but did not understand the -sell "us" and the 3-5 year crypto cycle" -- so cryptic! haha would really be interested in more transparent communication, but then i know so many of us would....and thanks!

I would like to know this brixtongg character really is. He is on my steem.chat channel and asking :

brixtongg 8:00 PM
do you have an account that has been deleted?

He has no reputation but as a newbie and he is filling his wallet.

Is he taking it from others somehow?

I am more concerned at what brixtongg is up to.?????

Guess Steem is another shitcoin after all. Perhaps we should all follow the leader and dump our Steem? What you say @ned. Oh wait, he will just ignore me because im a minnow

Sometimes you like a guy but then you realize that you don't really know the guy...........
I know that it's his money and all but the bottom line is that this hurts....... to us and potentially at large as well.

If Ned leaves it will be incredible news for Steemit but more importantly the Steem blockchain. Have you not noticed that anything cool built into the Steem blockchain has been created by people not affiliated with STINC?

That's blatantly false. We need a credibility rating next to reputation.

I completely agree. A credibility rating would be awesome. Maybe you guys can add it to the roadmap with “coming soon>>” just like everything else. . . Wonder how STINC would rank in credibility?
The Steem blockchain is actually one of the best, however it’s success is going to have nothing to do with the efforts of STINC. . .

Glad to hear it! Hopefully our pitching in at least is not in vain. Personally I was thinking SMTs were going to be a big deal. But we shall see!

Were or ARE?

Freudian slip?

That was giving Rawdawg’s comment some sarcasm.

SMTs are going to be the Oxygen of the crypto world. While everyone seems to be doing OK and having fun huffing proverbial helium — we will need Oxygen to survive.

Also, lay off the drugs. For real, nobody believes this shit.

Actions speak louder than words @ned, and so far, we’ve seen absolutely nothing. Talk is cheap.

I'm more of a Nitrous Oxide kinda guy

Steemit sucks and all you have done is recreate America's Crony Capitalist Oligarchy( not to be confused with Free Market Capitalism). Bots have replaced personal interaction and your balance dictates the weight of your voice, rather than one person one equal voice. Steemit will become a sharing platform of original content created elsewhere, because it is not truly user friendly, it doesn't give back power to the people, the search function sucks, content has a very short earning lifespan, most content is junk, the platform has minimal features AND IS NOT DECENTRALIZED. I SUPPORT THE IDEALS OF DAN LARIMER, BUT YOU ARE A CROOK, @ned.

I see a huge amount of users leaving the platform for platforms, which do not pay them. This only makes sense if Steemit sucks and is short on Social in Social Media.

I could go on, but this will suffice. Go ahead and flag this if you like...I am powering down anyway😜

The SMT Coding Bunker is full all next week. Development is On!

Hi @ned . Is there any plans to mitigate voting-bots? Is a blockchain captcha (or something like that) even possible?

I ask that based on blue & white papers, which show a strong commitment to the value of Human Curation.

b.b.

Hi @ned ..

Have you guys published official timelines for SMT dev milestones ...maybe on steemit blog ?

I'll say it now so that I can say I called it: @ned's taking the money and running. He'll step down as the CEO any day now. He'll wait until he's cashed out before delivering the news, though.

That way, the value of his cashouts doesn't suffer.

Hallelujah

I'll jump on and help your conspiracy ;-} Hummm microsoft bought git-hub, maybe there is a secret deal that we have not heard yet and microsoft bought STINC also, or since MS bought git-hub not wanting to be left out of the race, and wanting to regain some relevance for his program the Facebook dude bought STINC, after all he has been hinting around about crypto for his program FB. So on with the thoughts and theories.

I second this notion.

Why would he not have undelegated in that case to dump it all not just start a power down of ~50%.

To prevent FUD.

Holy poop on a stick, thank you for pointing this out @berniesanders
Powerless we are..........................

Odds of a steem price uptick short term are well ........................................

It is his money, we can think anything but you have to keep that in mind. I think he would have to be crazy to sell now that the price is low unless he knows that Steem and Steemit are going bust, something I don't think will happen. What I think is that he is taking out some of his money and investing it in some other opportunity, which to me sounds reasonable.
He doesn't have to be transparent with his money, but I do agree that sometimes STINC doesn't update enough and sometimes appears to not worry about issues that happen around here at least on a weekly basis.
