1. Have you ever made Shami Kebab at home?
Yes I tried many times Shami Kebab at home because it's my one of favourite snacks. One of most important things about making kebabs it's very simple and plain process. And don't have much more steps when you making kebabs but result is always comes very tasty and delicious.
In my first try Dal is more softer then I assumed that's why my kebab becomes little soft. But with the time I find the perfect and better proportion to make Shami kebab. Further I used always fresh ingredients and spices when ever I make kebabs, especially coriander, onion and green chillies. These ingredients provide special taste and uniqueness to kebabs. In my home My family members are taking Shami Kebab during lunch time or with tea and when eating biryani or pulao. That's why we prepared Shami kebab two to three times a week according to our gathering and demand. Participating in this challenge a very unique and beautiful experience for in this beautiful journey to making different types of kebabs recipes and learn something new related to kebabs and this time is special for that I also share step by step procedure and photos of making kebabs.
2. Step-by-step recipe with pictures
Ingredients — Quantity
Chicken — 400 grams
Chana Dal — 1 cup
Onion (chopped) — 1 cup
Green Chillies — 4 pcs
Coriander Leaves — ½ cup
Turmeric Powder — 1 tsp
Red Chili Powder — 1 tbsp
Cumin Powder — 1 tsp
Coriander Powder — 1 tsp
Black Pepper — ¼ tsp
Ginger & Garlic Paste — 2 tbsp
Cinnamon — 2 pcs
Bay Leaves — 2 pcs
White Cardamom — 3 pcs
Black Cardamom — 2 pcs
Cloves — 4 pcs
Eggs — 2 pcs
Mustard Oil — 2 tbsp
Salt — 1 tbsp
Making Process
Soaking Dal
First of all I soaked the chance Dal for 4 hours, that makes it soft.
Cooking meat and Dal
I put the soaked Dal into the pot and also add chicken and whole spices, basic Spices and onion and mustard oil. Then I added two cups of water and cooked it for one hour.
Cooling and Blending
When meat and Dal cooks properly and all the water dries and after it cools the mixture.After cooling it I simply remove the whole spices and blend the remaining mixture. In the balance size.
Adding fresh ingredients
Now I added onion, green chillies and coriander leaves and mixed it well and properly.
Binding
Then I added two eggs that make the mixture strong and protect to break the kebabs during frying.
Shaping
In this step I make simple round and plain kebabs using the mixture.
Frying
Then I heated the oil in the frying pan, putting kebabs in high flame then cooking low flame until the colour changes to golden brown. Then placed in the tissue paper for removing extra oil.
3. Present the recipe with decorated handwritten paper
At this stage I write my username and date of making Shami Kebab's on paper and decorating my kebabs.

If it is possible to share my Shami Kebab with one of my Steemit friend then I shared with @abdullhat and @rmj which are very energetic and active Steemit member of the community and these are friends in this amazing platform and always play very supportive role for me. Eating with friends always good time and enjoyable moments and it's increased the taste of the food. Especially the gathering of friends always making food special and flavourful. Because friends are very essential parts of our Life. These two are always full of activeness and having a great energy to share a quality content with other steemians friends.
