My first time going to the movies in Seoul, Korea

My mom and I had some free time and so I thought about watching a movie. It was my first time and I wanted to experience a Korean movie theatre rather than to watch a specific movie. I figured that I would watch whatever would suit my fancy.

I wanted to go with my mom but she said no because she wasn't interested. I didn't want to just stay in so I said I would go by myself and she said ok and gave me some money.

I took the subway and came to a shopping mall where they had a movie theatre called the Lotte.

I decided on watching a sci fi movie theme so I asked them and they spoke English and recommended a movie and I purchased my ticket. The lady was kind of awkward with me for speaking in English or because I asked what I should watch.

I ate food beforehand inside the mall but I wanted to get some popcorn since there was 20 minutes left before the movie started.

Most people were waiting around looking bored but I was more fascinated just looking around the movie theatre. It was clean and smelled clean. Things looked brand new and sparkly. It felt like a movie theatre where rich people go to.

I went inside the theatre and I found my seat and sat down by myself. I was a bit lonely but 2 pretty Korean girls sat next to me. I think they knew I was there by myself and they just stared at their phones. I ate my popcorn quietly.

I noticed that the Korean people were well behaved and pretty quiet inside the theatre. It smelled and looked clean inside too.

The movie started and I watched it enthralled by the new scenery and the language although there were English subtitles at times.
