The Diary Game: My First Day Experience As A Clinical Intern[16/9/2026]

Hello lovely steemians, hope you're doing great today? It's your girl @chimy and welcome to today's episode of how I spent my day.

So today happened to be the day I went for my first ever clinical posting. Honestly I've longed wished and hope for this day. A day I'll have a broad hospital experience not just school theory.

This morning I was so excited and looking forward to going to my assigned hospital for the Internship program.

In preparation for the day when I woke up I had my morning devotion, did some house chores and prepared breakfast. I actually prepared noodles

Then I had my bath, dressed up and came over to have breakfast. I hurriedly had my breakfast because I was trying to meet up with time.

We were told to report at the hospital at least by 8:00am. And yes I wasn't the only one posted right there in the hospital I have most of my coursemates posted there as well.

Using the transport means available I found my way to the hospital and I made it there before 8:00.

On arrival I saw my coursemates there as well. We waited until we were given orientation and ethics about the internship program all we needed to know about it and the clinic we are posted in.

After the orientation session we were carried around to see the different wards and every part of the hospital environment. It was a great and interesting experience.

To keep ourselves busy we were thought some basic things and later given a role to do as a group. I learnt a lot from it and of a truth nothing beats practical experience.

The best part is the the hospital staffs are all lovely, amazing and accommodating. They were so patient with us and calmly leading and putting us through most things.

At around 4pm we interns were dismissed to go home for the day and to come back tomorrow. I enjoyed every experience I had today and can't wait to go back there tomorrow.

Every step I took today made me realize how closer I am to my dream profession. Being a health practitioner has been something I've always been passionate about.

Before I could reach home if was already 5:30pm. I wasn't even feeling tired when I got home I was just so happy.

I had to first have my bath immediately I arrived home and also washed my uniform. Then I went to the kitchen to prepare dinner. After which I ate. I had a yummy plate of rice for dinner

After having my meal I excitedly took my phone to share my experience with you all before going to bed.
