The diary game:18/9/26 From 12am Cramps to Missed Test: A Day in My Life With Dysmenorrhea

Good day Steemians! Welcome to another episode of how I spent my day. So today started roughly. By 12am while I was sleeping, I started feeling cramps and it was so severe. I checked and realized my period had started, so I cleaned myself up and went back to sleep. Unfortunately, I couldn't sleep. I was just rolling on the bed till 4am. Honestly, the journey of womanhood is not easy.

By 4:30am, I felt like throwing up, so I went outside to see if I could vomit, but I couldn't. I looked for Felvin but I didn't see any. I was contemplating whether to go for morning mass or not because the pain was so severe. I had to tell my roommate to inform the liturgist that I wouldn't be able to make it for morning mass, because if I don't take permission, I will serve punishment for missing mass. That's how strict it is.

Later around 7am, the pain reduced a bit and I went to take my bath. I had plans to go to school but the pain became so severe again that I couldn't go. I even missed the class test our Mental Health tutor conducted. Honestly, I didn't find it funny because this dysmenorrhea can really limit my activities once it starts.

Later in the afternoon, I felt a bit better, so I managed to wash my clothes and fetch water before going back to rest to regain my strength. My day wasn't really productive, except for washing and fetching water. Please, to all females who experience dysmenorrhea, what is the best way to take care of it?
